I don't keep count on how many times I have watched this perormance, 100 times, I am sure... but it gets me everytime. It is just so imencely powerfull. He is incredible, I feel alive when I listen to his music.

I've cried about 15 times already because of this perfomance. And his lyricless songs blow me away every time. Such an artist... I'm just glad i was born at the right time to witness his growth and be able to grow with him. Love him so much

Just a powerfull message about domestic violence. Not his story, but the story of a rapper, Hua just changed the way of presenting those lyrics. And in what a way he did. It was even hard for him to sing it. Each time I see him singing it I cry, love and respect to Hua, and yes as I say Hua is a box of surprises. Thank you so much for your reaction 💞

After the performance, Hua Chenyu was asked how he managed to turn the original composer, Jay Chou, into Shakespeare... he replied that usually he sings to tell a story, but for this, he decided to use telling a story as his method of singing. ❤

When I first heard this song, I had no emotions at all. I couldn't understand why so many people were crying over it. Then one day, I was watching one reactor reviewing this song. When he realized what it was about, he stopped it and added on the screen the 1800 hotline for domestic abuse. When he said to call that number when you suspect domestic abuse, the floodgates opened up. I started crying. You see... growing up, my aunties and uncles knew what was going on in our home. But they were too afraid of my parent to interfere. As I watch you react to this video, I'm studying your every expression. Yes, it's a very powerful song with a powerful message. I saw that it also affected you. Thank you for reaction.

I've been waiting for you to get here. I love Hua Hua but he blew me away with this one, I lived the life he speaks of as a child and thought I was past it, my old man been dead 14 years but, but Hua Hua broke me with that scream of pain. I felt it all rush back in on me, and I cry every time I hear this song. And I'm 58 yo, I wanted to love my father but I couldn't learn to be like him I could see through all the false impressions. Hua Hua is a good man and delivers every performance beautifully, his own childhood of neglect I suppose helped him to create such a brilliant performance. This was for a TV show where he had 24 hours to rearrange the original which was a rap song by singer Jay Chou. HuaHua is a true artist!

I don't know if I would have even given it a listen if it had been done as a rap song. His choices made it incredibly vulnerable, as if from his own experience.
