This was the best review for this laptop that I've seen on KZread so far, thank you!
Great review of this laptop ! Couple questions - did this have the Nano Sim card and if so how did it work ? Second I plan on using Davinici Resolve for some basic edit - no color grading or things like that. Will I have any issues or would I need and external Grpahics card ? Thanks !

I demoed da Vinci in the video doing some light weight editing - if you’re not doing anything crazy it should be fine but it’ll be faster with a dedicated GPU. I did not have the cellular option on the review unit
seems like a nice all around laptop
I picked up the 13th Gen non-OLED with 16GB/512GB for $999 at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago. At that price, it was an incredible deal and battery life is excellent. The screen is a highlight. It's bright and the blacks are noticeably deep. With it being so good, I can't imagine what the OLED version looks like. I am extremely happy with it. It's nice to have a USB type-A port just in case. My one wish is that the Thunderbolt ports were on the left-hand side since it shares a desktop with a M1 MBA.
Thank you for the video. I want to ask whether one could utilize split screen in tablet or in either modes in order to take notes with the pen on one side of the screen while reading a pdf text book on the other side of the screen? Asking in general if the laptop is suitable for students?
Lon is there a way to reach out to you to ask you a couple of questions please? Thanks
Slightly off topic, a bit disappointing about the Artemis Launch, are going back on the 2nd of September?

I am doubtful they'll be ready by then but I think I might be able to make it back down. The good news is that I got some great interviews during their media opportunity yesterday so I have some good content either way.

@@LonSeidman I am looking forward to your awsome content, your insight and the interviews.
Could please tell me which display is better? 13.5" diagonal, WUXGA+ (1920 x 1280), multitouch-enabled, IPS, Low Blue Light, 1000 nits with integrated privacy screen or 13.5" diagonal, 3K2K (3000 x 2000), OLED, multitouch-enabled, UWVA, Low Blue Light, SDR 400 nits. Thanks.

It's a no brainer Well all depends on your budget.
how do I use an external GPU ? Have recommendations ?
Lon. It's a shame you didn't test the tablet mode in Ubuntu - the keyboard should be disabled automatically when it's folded back. Also, does the display auto-rotate in tablet mode, and does the stylus work properly (hover, pressure sensitivity) in Linux? You treated the device like a typical clam shell laptop, but other sensors come into play with a 2-in-1. Too bad you can't test these before you return it to HP.
Seems like a neat laptop. Just realized a good use of the 2-in-1 factor....hide the inferior keyboard and hook up a mechanical keyboard to use a desktop replacement. 😅 I guess that's just me tho.

It's weird to see how tablets and windowspcs are interchangeable
You should audiction for fantastic 4 live action movie
Is the display capable of going above 60hz? It breaks my heart whenever I see a flagship laptop display not running at 120hz
After 6 months of usage, the most disadvantage is the battery running away so fast maybe last for maximum 6hr working from 100% to 20%. I am really very upset.

Yeah that sucks man. If it continues to be an issue, I believe the battery on this model is easily replaceable and only costs about 100 bucks. I think the part number is HP L97357-005.
Too bad it's not 16:10
Weirdness. In a good way.
With a garbage webcam /pen /beginner RAM /non gaming setup & more, HP wants $1750 for this, ofcourse many hybrid-loving idiots will buy this 😀
If you value your money never buy an HP. It looks gorgeous outside but man it won't last a year!
