    I don't need security monitoring during the day so much, could I not set this to only power/run from 6pm to 7am, thus cutting the video and electrical consumption in half?

    That would be a great solution.. I checked through their automation controls and unfortunately there's no option to enable and disable continuous recording on a schedule.

    What about a bigger solar panel. Even in rainy or cloudy days, a 10-20 Watt (5V 2-4A) panel should top up the battery by noon so the camera will run all night long (all night.. all night lol) I ordered one online they’re so low cost about $1/watt with sturdy aluminum frame.

  • @LonSeidman
    @LonSeidman23 минут бұрын

    I may try that next. The camera tech specs say it'll take 10 watts in, so that might be feasible.

    I would try a 40000 rechargeable battery and put it in a waterproof enclosure and replace it with another charged one weekly. I do this with a cell phone with no nearby plug.

    If you want to do something like continuous recording you would need to plan for the most frequent worse case, winter with several overcast days. I think you are correct near the end of the video where you suggest a larger weatherproof battery. Maybe with big panels you could collect enough on a cloudy day to power such a small device. Seems like they designed the panel and batteries for the radar function you mentioned.

    I have 4 of these...so far so good...Keeping at 100% I haven't try continuous recording yet. I wanted to see if an after market solar panel would keep it 100%. I linked my Wyze to TinyCam Pro and see all cameras through RTSP. However, the actual TinyPro Cam app need better connectivity to Wyze network. It work for home monitoring for me.

    More than likely not.. it's feasible perhaps on sunny days but the overall battery capacity isn't quite enough to bridge gaps. I'm also not sure what the max input is on this - if it's only 2.5 watts a 5 watt panel won't make much of a difference.

    @@LonSeidman I have been monitoring it daily and one or two cameras drop down to 40% but get kicked back to 100% same day. I guess YMMV as I live in California. It has been cloudy lately and still charging.

    @@jay_te3 Interesting - I wonder if the recording consumes more power than just streaming it somewhere else. Are you running with a higher wattage panel ?

    Signed up to be a volunteer with AARP and got phished within a week. Looks like the AARP might be leaking or selling information. (Not good). I called up their own scam hotline and she didn’t confirm or deny it was a real email. She did say she was not a volunteer.

    facebook support is a shit, I have a verified account, i reported a fake account using the exact same name, my picture and adding my friends from the list and blackmailing to post my personal stuff. I even paid money to get rid of this fake person but still same, But Facebook never took this account down even after I shared all the proofs. They still think it does not go against their community standards. This is a shit, can I do anything else? I am blackmailed on and off for more than 3 and a half year now.

    I use Plex for my recorded streaming content. I went with a Neosway 5105 at first which allowed me to do everything but one thing at a time. I tried the N200, but it seemed worse. I skipped the N100. I finally went with an i7 GMKTec. Here is a review that I had on one of your videos previously. my Celeron N5105 which was 2 GHz and does PlayOn record from On demand from various services and includes downloading of 4K streams and light editing. The N5105 ran that app at about 2.8 turbo and 60% to 70% of CPU. I decided to try the N200 version and was disappointed. It is 1 GHz and mostly ran at 1.7 turbo and never got anywhere near 3.7 and about 95% to a constant 100% of CPU and mostly failed to record the content. In my initial email to them, they said a cryptic “It's about what we get” or something to that effect, I returned it.

    Ever since DSM updated and docker-wyze-bridge updated to 2.9.0, my cameras (v3) won't connect. I can still use the Wyze app, but not surveillance station. I can still see streams from the bridge and separate port. Do we need to setup the RTSP stream differently? Also why will my containers not update to the newest image when resetting them? I've downloaded the latest.

    I had problem about my synology nas And Steve Baker Technical Support Engineer write me about my problem that We are sorry to hear that your DS218 has to be reset. This is likely caused by an issue in the DSM operating-system. We understand that you are worried about losing your data. Please rest assured, your data should not be affected by the reset as the OS and data are stored in separate partitions on the drives. When re-installing the OS, the system should normally not touch the data-partitions of your drives. I beleived and i did what he said now all my data erased omg i shocked after sir Steve Baker dissepeared i am alone there is nothing in my hands Synology is regret bad nas choose qnap there isnt good support for problemss !!! i think the only thing this is lacking is making mods, enhancements and other types of hacks for old games be more manageable as well, it's quite a big ask to make but without being able to actually tinker with the old gamers rather then just be able to play them is the main reason why I care about emulation in the first place so i'll stick with retroarch and dolphin myself...
