a disassembled 9470m , does anything happen to the BIOS if the RTC battery is removed for say at least 1 year? also , it would be interesting to see a VISUAL when an incorrect screw is used that cracks the mother board Furthermore this incorrect choice of screw(3) could quite possibly be the reason my 9470M is giving a 5LED error blink fault (Motherboard error) on start up????? you can resolve by unplug in the CMOS pin and reconnect it.then bios will be reset

To offline the cmos battery won't get off the password! Don't do that contact HP and they will provide a file to unlock the Bios, otherwise change the Bios chip on the mobo.

Yes HP may help do this, or you need to replace BIOS chip
