You can't upgrade the storage, it is soldered down.

I just got this laptop. Is the picture and video resolution supposed to be poor or is it just mine? I got the 16gb.

Heat seems to blow out of the bottom, Thats normally not a great design. Better if it goes out sideways.

Hi. I know this reply is quite late. It does not allow you to download Chrome because this computer is running on Windows 11 in S Mode. You can turn S Mode off by going to your computer's settings, or by going to Microsoft Store. Yes, Microsoft Store, but no worries! Rest assured, the deactivation of S Mode is completely free.

Once you disable S Mode, it can run any program, but keep in mind it only has 64GB of storage that doesn't appear to be upgradeable, so you aren't going to load top games, big programs, or store a lot of data. The easiest way I've found to disable S mode on WIn 11 is to: - try to run CMD.EXE - it will come up saying this program can't be run in S mode. - There will be a link saying something like "want to run programs like this, click on this link to find out more." - Once you click, you should have a GET button, click on that button and you will be taken out of S mode once you get the dire warnings. (note: I think you are required to be connected to the Internet.) I'm working on this laptop for my daughter's friend and for the current listed Amazon price of $185, this is a pretty good system, but HP locked it down so you can't really improve the unit. Overall, it's not fast or robust compared to standard sub-$500 laptops, but for a sub-$200 laptop for web browsing, word processing, etc. this is a good deal. Unfortunately, I can't offer her any options to improve this unit due to what appears to be intentional design shortcomings. I wouldn't buy this unit for myself or my customers, but if you are super budget conscious and you want a super basic mobile Windows device, this may fit your needs.

Everyone is saying it’s so because they bought the one with the slowest ram common sense get the 16gb and it’s not gonna give no problems 🤦‍♂️

I have this computer. One detail left out is all of its surfaces are smooth making it much easier to clean. Unlike the black and blue versions where they have this sort of textured surface that traps bacteria. I know because I also have the black version and because of the texturing it gets very dirty.

I got it cause it was a great price. Im using it for my mba program. Do you think itll hold up for college studies?

These are the types of laptops you need to STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM! I have gone through several of these cheaper celeron machines, and they are absolutely nasty to use. They struggle performing the most simple of tasks. Even linux won't save these machines. What I recommend you do instead is buy a used i5 or i7 machine with 8gb ram for a similar price, they will be infinity times better for the average user. Another thing is that these computers are designed to be disposable, all the parts (including the "ssd" which is actually just a microsd card soldered down) are soldered down and cannot be replaced easily, so if something goes wrong the entire computer is done for.

Is this laptop good for daily gaming? Also is it good for begainer laptop.

Get something with at least 8 gigs of ram and a better processor. This is the kind of laptop that you give to a little kid to watch youtube. It will probably freeze if you have too many chrome tabs open, let alone do any work on it

No, these will run even the most lightweight games with lag. The only I've tested two games that would work are Sonic adventure (25 year old game) and Among us (Sprite based)

I have the same thing but lenovo brand celron 4500, 4gb ram, 64gb ssd. The guy at best buy said that I should not buy this model and was trying to sell me something much more expensive but my needs are basic so I bought this one. Overall it works fine for everything I need a computer for I have had it for 6 months now

Open box stock, this computer SUCKS. It is laggy, super low storage and because of these issues is useless. It needs to be upgraded.
