Just take a deeper look at the lyrics. They are so deep and poetic. The chorus alone is filled with biblical allusions and philosophizing about the state of the world.

uhm no it's a love song from a guy who's in love with a married woman duh... From Eden meant he used to be innocent but he'd rather take the fall from grace if it meant being with her which is a sin.

Hozier is talented on many levels, but I think what makes his music so good are his lyrics. It's like poetry.

Hozier is the most underrated artist of our generation. He deserves ALL awards.

True hozier fans love all his songs. Personally I love sedated, in a week and jackie and wilson. I do love take me to church I just wish all his songs could be more worshipped.

Taylor Smith, Fall Out Boy, Beyonce do not deserve awards, sorry. Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith are good but not quite as good as other artists that are not commercially shovelled down most people's throats. There is plenty of talent like Hozier bubbling under the surface, not being talked about, about a thousand times more talented than anyone like Beyonce or Fall Out Boy. I do agree that Hozier deserves awards though.
