Howdah Pistols: Big Bores for Big Game
Whether seen atop the elephant of an Indian hunting party or worn on the hip of a British officer, the howdah pistol was a formidable weapon.
Originally used in elephant riding platforms (a howdah) during dangerous game hunts, the howdah pistol satisfied the need for big bore firepower during up-close, in-a-hurry encounters with big game. They are frequently found with two or four barrels as such dangerous situations seldom allowed the opportunity to reload.
Crafted by some of Europe's finest arms makers, and purchased by those with the means to take such exotic trips, howdah pistols are typically of top quality manufacturing and frequently come with attractive, yet understated, embellishment.

Same - big bores, old school style, and lots of power speaks to me.
Beautiful!!!!!
in real life is there such thing as a howdah pistol mounted on the back of an elephant gun?
can police officers have an elephant gun be kept as a longarm inside their police car and howdah pistol be kept as a sidearm in their holster?
This video should really have had a bit brighter lighting.
Awesome 👍🏻
GLOVES!
