I know the feeling. Nature definitely has a way with healing. I used drive in rural areas a lot in high school and college just to ‘get away’. Were like the saying: “not all who wander are lost”

Never forget who created that nature and beautiful scenery. We weren't created to live without him and he's very available to talk to. Then look forward as you put bad things in the rear view mirror as it fades aways. Embrace friendships and be outward giving to others.

I don’t remember any of my childhood well most of it. I know my dad was a monster. We are here for you. I live my life through you. You can always talk to us. I agree everything you said is true. I went to Florida a few yrs ago. I didn’t have to take none of my inhalers or allergy meds. Something about the ocean. I could take a chair and lay by water all day every day.

I hear that about all your 'friends' disappearing when you go through a tragic time. Most people are so shallow, it was a real eye opener after my daughter died. Grief is hard to handle. A person never 'gets over it', however, they can learn how to manage and cope with the pain.....if they face it. I'm so impressed with your strength to sell your home, quit your job and face all the trauma and injustices you have had in your life.

Sarah, it takes a lot to bare your soul like this. You’re helping people you don’t even know. Like you I’m in love with the desert southwest. My career has me in Dallas a few more years then it’s look out Kingman AZ! But I also escape through music. Look up the Aztec Camera tune from 1990: Good Morning Britain. It’s a triumphant song about making peace with the past and taking on the future with joy. At least that’s what this burnt out engineer living with 5 cats gets out of it. Anyway, if you find it, crank it to 11! ‘The past is steeped in shame, but tomorrow’s fair game’ And thanks again for sharing. Both yourself and the beautiful desert 🏜️

There are TONS of way to earn money online now, so don't let the fear of not having a job scare you - you can do this if you can run a KZread channel, that's for sure. You don't have to be lonely if you take the time to engage with people when you are in town. Talk to the people in stores, at gas stations, laundromats, etc. They are working thankless service jobs and are rarely acknowledged by anyone and often torn down by people who get their kicks venting their personal crap on the "little people." You can make their day with a kind word and you never know what may come of that. Ask for restaurant recommendations, trail recommendations...whatever.

I live alone & prefer it that way, however, I wish I could get myself to go out in nature to possibly start healing, but, I can't get myself to leave the house other than work or when it gets to the point when I need necessities which is very stressful to me. If you ever get the chance, try to stay a couple of days at a place that backs to the Virgin River just outside the entrance to Zion National Park in Utah. October is a good time as the leaves are changing and most of the crowds are gone. There are gentle, green slopes that would also be great for your dog.

Get outside, however you can. KZread has the ReWilding and Earthing videos (free with ads) to watch, which I highly recommend. Nature is such a marvelous healer and I too know from personal experience the joy and utter peace this lifestyle brings (minus the KZread part). Nomads in general are incredibly giving and forgiving and will help you in any way they possibly can. MANY nomads are dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and similar issues and find that this is the only thing that helps. Going for a walk in nature, wherever you can find it, will also lift your spirits and lead to better thinking. If you can't walk, go out in a wheelchair (as I don't know what else ails you). If walking is difficult, use hiking poles (preferable), a cane, or a nice walking stick. You will feel better as soon as you are away from other people, traffic, noise... Even if you have to go to a city park, find as quiet and secluded a spot as possible. Stand, walk, or even lie down on the earth and allow it to heal you.

As the daughter of a social worker at the VA (now deceased), I can tell you that he always said if they spent as much time trying to help the patients as they did with their stupid politics, they would help a lot more people. Nature is a far better healer than most of what they have to offer at the VA, despite the fact that they do have some good people who try. Just make sure your solitude is the healing type, in nature, and not self-isolation someplace unhealthy.

We spent days on the rivers mining and swimming. A young girl, I remember thinking, how can people work all the time for a week vacation? when this was a vacation every day? I would love to connect with you on our journey. You are real. ❤

We find out who our true friends are in a crisis situation. I, too, have lost many so called go friends. I'm better for it once I learned to set boundaries. You're great and don't let anyone tell you any different. I love your content. Keep on keeping on. Amy

I loved the being and all that rock you were driving thru. I think that why I fell in love with Arizona. The scenery is some different from California. And I breath a lot better out there.

My son has bad anxiety when it gets bad, he goes walking. Here we have trails you can walk. Mostly wooded area. I found out two summers ago( I’m allergic to mold. It’s outside here with all the trees and dead stuff laying around.
