My mom did it my ex wife’s father did it and my ex wife did it to me. You CANNOT replace your spouse with your children or child!!! It was your love for each other that created that love and you can’t discard the initial love.

I’ve raised my stepson from the age of eight. He is now 19. He is spoiled. He’s never had any consequences for bad behavior. My wife is flat out, afraid of him because of the tantrums and his aggression. Not only that he gets to live in the house rent free. He briefly had a job and was paying the power bill in the water payment but decided that he would quit that job because of the heavy lifting required. When he was 17 my wife helped him get a brand new vehicle under the agreement he would pay the monthly payment. He reneged on that deal and the car got repossessed. We took it out of repossession, and my wife was able to get out of it. In the process, though, it’s ruined her credit. And I don’t blame him. I blame my wife as most stepfathers know you’re not allowed to be the disciplinarian you’re not allowed to treat them tough and turn them into men you’re only allowed to be there like quasi Mentor. I’m getting very fed up he’s unemployed. We are struggling like a lot of Americans right now nothing to the table and gets whatever he wants. And I think I’m getting a lot of my wife’s anger, which is originating with him.

My marriage has gotten to this point. There are zero boundaries for our children in our private space. They barge into our room whenever they want. They end up sleeping in our room 85% of the time. They have attachment issues to where we don’t get a single minute of alone time. No cuddling, no quality talks, and a non existent sex life. I’m never prioritized at all anymore. She’ll watch her show and do whatever she wants all day long. Has her phone in her hand 24/7. Drops everything to text her friends back but makes it feel like pulling teeth to spend even a minuscule amount of time with me. Feel like I might as well be single

My husband chose his entitled, drug addicted, non-working adult son (who also beats up his dad) over our marriage as well. I stepped out of the way and am letting him make his own grown man decisions. We are divorced now. I washed my hands of that mess.

im married and pregnant and my husband told me its going to be all about the baby when the baby comes and he will spend all his time with his baby. i asked him well "what about spending time with me?" he said you will be there. i explained to him how important time together is to me but he didnt seem to get it. i explain my feelings and he just laughs. im afraid my marriage will be over once the baby comes. i already have to be the one who arranges dates and time to spend together and the baby isnt even here yet. we have only been married a year and im afraid of losing my husband

My husband isn't the most proactive at arranging our date nights nor anything else social. I used to be frustrated that I had to initiate and plan everything until one day I realized that he's just not a super social guy. Whenever I plan he agrees, attends with me and we enjoy ourselves. Since then I have accepted that this is an area that I'm strongest in and I now plan out all of our social engagements. As long as he's attending when you set up your dates and you two enjoy yourselves, you two will be fine.

should wait longer before getting married to find out what the person is really like to avoid doing something so stupid as making literal vows to the death and leaving someone a year later because you realize they are different than you thought and you could have avoided the whole thing by waiting. have a kid with the person and if theyre still who you thought they were then marry them. so many people getting married cuz its "the next step after dating" it sickens me how much marriage has been dumbed down and everyone is desensitized to what it means

Tiara l tell him to read this from a third point of view from someone who has gone through it in a different way: “your husband is an ignorant clueless ass laughing at your wisdom and knowledge. Stop being a dumbass and have an open mind.” I would never put my kids before a partner.

I'm a 70's baby who grew up with out my father in my household my mother and father broke up before I was 3yrs old! Me and my first child's mother were never really together we were just sex partners while we were in College I dropped out after the first semester my junior year and she called me 2 months after and said she was pregnant with my daughter I was 20years old ripping and running the streets saling Weed and coke just to take of myself when she would come home from school on breaks she would come see me but leave my daughter with Grandmother I can count on 1 hand how many times I seen my daughter I eventually stopped pursuing her because she was more concerned with just having sex with me! She told me that if I'm not in a relationship with her I couldn't see my daughter, 23yrs later I am married with 3 kids 18,12and 5yrs old my mother tells my kid's that I have by my wife that they have a older sister and I get mad at my moms for speaking on it but that's her 1st grandchild and sometimes I say to myself that if I wasn't in a relationship with wife I would be able to have all my kid's in my life it kills me daily that I never had a relationship with my firstborn daughter I live my life different now that I am 44yrs old I been working at my job for 18yrs and in 8yrs I'll be able to retire with a petition God willing one day I can sit down and talk to my daughter about what went wrong and how me and her mother never seen eye to eye Love you always babygirl damnnnn Smdh 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
