Take the tape off with a hair blow dryer, rocking it back and forth in order to not melt the glue onto the paper. This will prevent tearing.

I was interested in the masking tape you used, as I find they are too strong (remove some of the paper surface) or too weak (lift up all the time). The one you used seemed to pull away some of your ink work and some of the paper’s surface.

The important point is the quality of the paper: e.g if I use arches paper 300gr. this never happens, as well with other more high quality watercolor paper.

Martin I love your work + your videos. Except, may I just respectfully ask for a bit more upbeat music please? I too enjoy classical music just more lively selections in this current environment. With the news of the world so very dismaying, some of us need a bit of a lift I guess. Thank you for your wonderful content.
