How WW1 Lit The Fuse Of WW2 | Impossible Peace | Real History

The First World War claimed a life every twenty five seconds for four years. What had been the point of it all? It was believed that World War One was the 'war to end all wars'. But 20 years after the guns fell silent the war drums were banging again-louder and more lethal before. Told through archive and the insights of international historians, Impossible Peace is a story of twenty years of peace that produced war.

Thank you for this documentary. It is true that nothing is new under the sun. Let us hope that people of all nations would wake up, show wisdom and hold onto the common sense, saying no to the new wars brewing under the surface. Let us choose life.

Too bad the US still hasn't learned that not everyone can function as a democracy nor want to be one. If they hadn't broken up the Empires things would probably have ended up very different. But no we believe everyone needs to live as we do.

Blurring out images that you and your producers find objectionable is censorship. Really, enough of this woke crap already! I went to school starting in the sixties through the early eighties and I pretty much have seen what you are blurring out. The thing is, if you sanitize history for future generations, its bad parts are more likely to be repeated. Now this is an awesome documentary but stop already with this blurring stuff out. If YOU find it offensive while you are producing it, just cut that portion of the video out. 🤦‍♀️

German militarism is more to blame than any other single factor. The next most important factor was the initial feckless response to German militarism by the Allies. Lose deterrence, and you invite war.
