I think that's what we need for the current foldable phones. I've been saying for a while, we need a Duo launcher. They may not have succeeded as a device, but they nailed that launcher.

Yes, that is exactly what I want, that’s what I’m looking for. The Surface duo is a multi-tasking monster. its great for gig work and I can go online and take care of personal business that I normally do on my home computer or laptop. Stuff that I cannot do or the galaxy fold or iPhone.

If they had kept the same size as the duo2, it would have been great, and with the front screen it would have been much quicker for things like paying by phone and showing barcoads.

At this point, I would really love to see Microsoft just release their launcher for foldables. Despite a few bugs the thing generally works pretty well and yeah, the multitasking angle was great. I don't know if they'll ever swallow their pride long enough to make that a thing, or if they'll just remove it from the Play store entirely. Hopefully the latter doesn't happen.

I think if they had to go the fold factor then yes I would have wanted it to still act in a "Duo" manner. However, I would have just preferred that they perfect the design that they already had. I would have added a screen on the front and I would have dedicated alot of engineering into making the back camera flatter so it was closer to the original Duo 1. Google's camera has amazing processing software even before they added a huge camera bump. It is just a shame that they have decided not to go in that direction. I don't want to hear anything from the CEO about giving up on the mobile market again. It's beyond frustrating.

It's not quite as simple as the launcher from what I've been told by people who worked on Duo

I honestly don't know why any of the foldable providers have not stolen the split screen launcher stuff (app on either side etc) design. It is one of the best things ever and i am going to be sad the day i need to give up my duo 2 for something new. I think i will go back to a single screen and no doubt regret it but i have not seen anything from these other foldables to make me want one. OnePlus is the only one that has piqued my interest. Damn Microsoft for being so stupid!
