It's supposed to be a peaceful era, so let's refrain from bringing up historical grievances. China should halt its expansionist policies and refrain from provoking and bullying its neighbors. China is guilty and they think they won the game by offering built and road in the Philippines for expansionism, but the fact that the Philippines is allowing the US to build military assets in the Philippines could easily assist Taiwan if china will force for unification, Philippines might forbid the US to use the land to assist Taiwan but the US can use the area for intelligence gathering like using radar for aircraft and ships or submarine in disguise as passage going to and from the Philippines, accession of the US in the Philippines is a lost to china.

The U.S. reminded the Philippines at its independence (1946) that the Spanish-American treaty of 1898 made it clear that the western limit of the Philippines islands did not include the Spratlys (South China Sea).

Philippines will not be intimidated by China's military expansion. The Arbitration Court says no to nine-dash line. The US-Philippines mutual defense alliance exercises hopefully will deter aggression and will help uphold freedom of navigation.

That piece of paper served as PH's BASIS to its claims on WPS. Without that, no country not even the US will support PH because we do not hold any international legal document. Get it? In 2014 during Aquino's term, Obama and Aquino signed a military pact but Duterte cancelled it during his term. And you expect the US to lift a finger? hahahaha Stop confirming your biases by watching videos of vloggers that are PRO China. The nine dash line is the most greedy thing I've ever seen. How can they justify in their heads, owning territory that is far, far closer to the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia? It's honestly genuinely ridiculous. It's not even close to a fair deal. If Beijing wants friends, then they need to stop trying to appeal to racial unity, and start giving everyone a fair shake. A deal to settle this ridiculous claim would go along way to bringing Asia closer to them. But their greed knows no end, and it will be their undoing.
