Close ties with Russia and the West: Xi Jinping's dangerous balancing act for China | DW News

The presidents of Russia and China say their relationship has become stronger in the face of growing tensions with the West. Vladimir Putin is on a state visit to China. Today he and Chinese president Xi Jinping vowed to deepen bilateral further and to do more to end the war in Ukraine. They offered no details on how.

It is always suprise! Why doesn't DW dare to invite Chinese experts to discuss, but always invites a lot of so-called experts from other countries to discuss China's affairs for years? For example, this time the name was from Austria. So what can we expect from the DW reports? The facts? No, never. Or selective European point of view as DW usual? Or a simple DW nonsense warning as usual for years😂? ---Then who cares?

@@madscola According to you, only China's attack on Russia will meet your requirements? ! If Xi Jinping does what you want, he will be a fool. Isn’t the United States also providing weapons of mass destruction to Israel, which is committing genocide in neighboring countries? Germany is not lagging behind at all in this immoral matter. But why do not you accuse the United States and Germany for this? Why do think make such rude demands on China? I will jump in as have academically studied Geopolitics from 1945 to 2004. Because they are going to be forced to pick a side when it eventually comes to it. So the entire world is at risk. All 8 billion of us. They like to play both sides but they really don't want to screw with the US and the Coalition. Because realistically - any major conflict ends in Mutually Assured Destruction even with the reduced nuclear technology. There hasn't been a nuclear weapon used in warfare since Nagasaki and any military confrontation between them will result in nuclear warfare. So Jinping likes to play both sides for economic gain but really does not want to make that call. They are insane but they don't want to delete the planet. And China for other reasons is in a horrendous position financially so they need all of the money they can get. And all of the allies they can get if they actually think they can pull off a Ukraine and invade Taiwan.

@@Ppot129 China is already neutral, despite what Russia wants. China needs access to EU and US markets, at least for now. there will be no massive Chinese support for the Russian war effort. As for the future of the Chinese-Russian alliance, it exists as a convenience to balance out US hegemony. If US becomes unable or unwilling to project international power (due to Trump, civil fracturing and isolationism) the alliance is finished. Also, China has a valid claim on Outer Manchuria, and has publicly said they want to restore the lands of the Qing. Lands larger than Ukraine full of ethnic Chinese and natural resources that Russia seized in an unfair treaty.

Anna May Wong was meant to play the lead in "The Good Earth" ( 1937) it would have been Taylor made for her, no pun intended, but because of the racial codes at the time a white actress was given the part, Luise Rainer. Likewise, Brad Goreski was Taylor made to play the part of Netflix's Halston ( 2019), a movie based on the life of the Gay fashion designer Halston, but due to similar prejudices that Anna May Wong faced, and because of the gay codes, in Hollywood today, the part went to a naive straight actor, Ewan McGregor( he doesn't go to gay bars, Brad Goreski does) how clever, or my name isn't Liza Minnelli.

No one cares for patents and copyrights over there , they followed the mantra of reverse engineering. Look at them now , they are beating the tech giants in their own game. Its too late for the west and US , they were sleeping and now it's a wakeup call
