Hi Steve and the warmest of welcome to the channel, pleased to have you on board. We will have loads of new content coming in the next few weeks and months as we finish up our 5 week adventure here in Vietnam. Hope you stick around for the new series, its going to be a beast.

Sorry about this but I had missed this Q&A video when you first posted it so, here's my contribution. Firstly, Thanks for being so honest with all your answers and secondly, please continue with all of your amazing reviews and no holds barred comments. Personally, would like to see the fully edited video when you return home but being awkward, I would love to see the wee snippets while you're in your chosen destination. Thanks Hazel. We are actually home now, which is why the videos are starting to trickle through 😊 We certainly don't intend on changing the way we do these with regards to our opinion. It's our experience, so we can only say how we found things. Others may have a completely different experience to us but we can only comment on ours. Appreciate your comments and support

Pleased you liked it Claire. If you are wanting some less touristic island you could look at Naxos or Paros, not as easy to get to but you could fly to one of the main islands and get a ferry.

My fav larger abroad has got to be cisk from malta x

We haven't been to Malta before so have not had that beer. Maybe one for the future.

Skiathos is our absolute favourite Greek island, gonna take our 3rd year running this year, we have done trulos and koukanaries but kouk has it for me for the tremendous beach

It is a lovely island. We loved Troulos when we stayed there, really nice little resort. We did visit Koukanaries when we had a bike but didn't spend a load of time there

Loads of my questions lol. Love the video. With your big trip do the videos when your back. Just enjoy your adventure together and take it all in.

Hi Jamie and Jacqui, I’ve just found your channel (I’ve subscribed) and Skiathos videos. They are great!!!! I also love Skiathos and have been many times. I’m also a keen Drone operator and have a couple of KZread channels. I intend to take my drone to Skiathos this summer😀. Keep up the great work!!!

Hi Jamie, thanks for getting back to me. We’ll be staying in Koukinaries. We love the beach there and also Agia Eleni and Troulos beaches.

@MrJonpeters yes everything is close by there for Troulos. Both nice beaches. Think we preferred the beach at Troulos as it was a lot more laid back there. Still, Koukanaries looked a nice resort too.

Started watching your videos after I had subscribed to Roadtripping Ruth in Skiathos 2021 and your channel came up as a recommendation. I've thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity of your content. Something I can really relate to....any plans to visit any more Greek Islands?

Thank you smudge, pleased you have found our channel and a pleasure to have you on board. We actually met Ruth when we were in Skiathos. No immediate plans for Greece at the moment as we have our 5 week trip to Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam planned. We may get away in September but we will see what comes up. We will be back in Greece at some stage though

So happy for her and still follow. She managed to get a work visa and has.been working through 2022. Skiathos looks amazing for walking in the winter. Oh btw talking about permanent travel and the Philippines, if you haven't already, check out Jumping Places channel

We follow Jumping Places, was actually some of their videos that turned our heads to The Philippines. Just watched a few of theirs in Thailand last night funnily enough, they're where we went when we were there in 2012 and 2016. Ruth is a lovely lady and great to see her living the dream in Skiathos.

I suppose it depends what you're looking for when you go away. Some great cheap pubs in the main commercial centre, best restaurants in PR seemed to be opposite the beach. Get along to Amadores too, some really nice places to eat along there too.

The Philippines is awesome! There's a lot of fun diving there, and gorgeous places overall. I think having breakfast looking out over the sea in Coron was the best start of a day I've ever had. And good answer to the full time travel question! The itinerary sounds awesome for March - oh, and when you go to Hue check out the Tiger Arena! I didn't have time for that one during my trip, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'll definitely make a note of that, thanks Miro that's very helpful. Yeah really want to het to the Philippines, might be a few years yet and some hard saving. Would love to go for a few months. Not easy getting the time off work though.

@ThreeStarVagabond we talk about stuff like that all the time. If we could cover the cost of our bills we would maybe take career breaks from work and see how things went with the channel on our travels. Not easy at the moment though with everything being so damn expensive
