Ek is bly om te sien jy het n passie vir die diere, en dat dit darm weer groen raak by julle. Teel julle self die skape of koop julle net dragtige ooie wat julle later weer verkoop, en hoe maak julle met die wol wanneer dit tyd raak om te skeer? Dit is juis die wol en skeer probleme wat my laat skuif het na n dorper/meatmaster kudde. Ek hoop rerag jou KZread channel gaan groot, ek dink jy verdien dit.

Dankie vir die comment. Ek het die laaste paar jaar net dragtige ooie gekoop en dan weer verkoop, maar met die reën het ek begin om vir my 'n teelkudde op te bou wat by die ram gaan begin loop volgende week. Met die wol kry ons maar plaaslike skeerders in en dan vat ons dit na ons plaaslike BKB handelaar wat dit sorteering en verkoop vir ons.

No, 15 isn't too young. I am 16 currently but started with my first sheep when I was 11. I am a full time scholar and do the farming at the same time. I have to say it is a lot of hard work and long hours and it is nice if you can find someone with knowledge and experience to help you.. Hope this message helps you. Jup, same thing. The americans call it alfafa and just about the rest of the world call it lucerne

why are you saying in south Africa instead of saying in your farm because SA has many farms in different regions, applying different techniques when it comes to farming...surely your farm can never represent the whole of SA
