My mom didn't save for her retirement. She's 66. Raised two families on her own. No help from our fathers. Me and my toddler left my spouse. So told my mom lets leave California and go back home to Florida together. We got a 34' RV to live in and move home in. I don't care that I'm 30 living with my mom with my son in a RV. Families are supposed to stay together. My son is so happy having us all together like this. He absolutely loves living in the big bus. That's what we call it. I love living this way. I feel so much stress and worry just gone! Never worry about being homeless anymore. Love it.

My father has a trailer on 12 acres of land that is surrounded by the Sumter national forest and boarders a lake with a 1200 miles shoreline. I was living in Atlanta and wanted to get out of a large city. My mother also thought piano lessons and had about 30 students. I got an emergency call about my mother being in a severe accident. We both could not understand why God would allow this. My mother went to my sisters house after I had taken my mother to 6 months of physical therapy in Atlanta. 6 months later my dad asked if I would like to move permanently to his 12 acres and trailer. I said yes because I love it here. My mother was not happy at my sisters. I asked if she wanted to come live with me. She did and both of us now understand the wreck now. If she had not had the wreck we would still live in Atlanta instead of living on 12 acres and a nice trailer. God is Good!

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, maybe it was their fault, maybe it wasn't, maybe it was the GOVERNMENT, maybe it was life getting too good. Adversity makes for strong people. The simple easy life makes for weak people. They are together, they are accepting, they are strong. We all go thru hoops. All different. They wouldn't want my problems. I wouldn't want your problems. In the end it's the peace you feel when you say to yourself I lead a good life. Life was good and I am proud to say I did the best I knew how.

I feel more prepared for what we expect to be happening in the near future as we keep watching foretold events taking place! We sold my mom's home after she died-we were living with her and caring for her because she couldn't take care of herself .Then we moved to another state to live with my MIL since she told us she didn't like living alone and my hubby felt like he needed to take care of her - but that wasn't the case🤷she was quite capable of doing for herself and to end this story- she didn't want us there after a year because of the virus- she lived in constant fear for herself and us- so we are now homeless - my hubby in another state helping his sister and I'm helping my daughter with new baby so I still have a place to live and I'm so grateful- we are trusting God to help us as He always has and does🙏🙏🙏

You have worked so hard for so many years, and your story is so amazing and both sad and joyous at the same time. I look forward to watching more of your videos. You are such a sweet couple. And yes, you have wealth greater tthan money could ever provide. I hope you both are still holding hands in your beautiful little home well into your 90s and still enriching our lives with your warmth. Peace and best wishes from Ireland.

Bless your hearts! We also learned harsh realities in the 2008 crash. We lost our semi and trailer and eventually lost our home and rental that we were paying mortgages on. We decided to move from Minnesota so we searched Missouri and found a small acreage to buy. My husband did find a job driving truck before we moved and was able to keep that job even after moving down here. Pinching pennies and following Gods guidance, we were able to pay our small place off in 16 months. We know that God brought us to this small acreage as if it wasn’t for Him, we wouldn’t have found it. I stay home now and take care of our place and raise chickens for meat and eggs. Life is good on a strict budget!

Why is it nice to see because of hardship and not because "they just wanted to?" And if you guys would tax your churches and have Universal Healthcare and more social programs you wouldn't have ended up in such a mess to start with. It's not "god", it's a messed up social system and government and people who are too capitalistic. Everyone has love, commitment and goes through hardship. Four mortgages and bankruptcy was all part of a "god's plan?" Wow.

This is my first time viewing y’all, and I love your story. We too were in construction when that hit and now my husband and I are long haul truck drivers, we team drive. We sold everything except what we could fit into a storage building in his mom’s back yard and moved on a big rig. That was 7+ years ago. I’m sitting in a truck stop in Washington state right now waiting to pick up a load later today and head back home to Georgia. We’ve seen God move and make ways for us that we just couldn’t have imagined. He is so good and so faithful, He loves us so much more than we deserve. I have no doubt that God will continue to bless y’all, of course, He will never leave us or forsake us! Thank you Jesus! :)

Thank you for sharing and God Bless. During this lockdown you will feel even more blessed because you can weather it better that most others. For the past 15 years God taught me to live out of a 45lbs suitcase - im so tight for space that if I buy a new shirt I need to throw one out. I also mostly eat once a day not because I don't have money but because I only eat when I'm hungry. Most of us have too much junk and eat too much because we see or smell food. Wastefulness and gluttony are traits of poor stewardship. You have shown you can be happy with less. Thank you again.

It's a huge process as well as depending on God to provide just what we need at the exact moment. I'm in debt above my head..yet still give thanks to God for a roof over my kids heads, and a mom who works hard everyday. God is so Great and loving. ❤ Bless the both of you🥰 Happy retirement and health🙏🙏🙏

My story is so similar to yours. I had a very successful real estate business that I lost during that time too. I had literally zero income for one full year and was a single mom with two young boys. I went from owning a beautiful house and a vacation house plus 5 rentals to nothing over a period of seven years. It was quite the journey. Somehow God provided every single step of the way. God bless you both for being so faithful and resilient.

I enjoyed your video so much. On December 8, 2010, my husband of 27 + years died in his sleep at age 49 completely unexpectedly (the coroner later said Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease was the cause ). The youngest of our 4 children was in his junior year of college and my first grandson had been born 6 weeks earlier. Damon had been the sole provider for most of those 27 years ,working for his father's smallish 8 motel business. He'd believed all his life that he'd inherit this business so we'd never been seriously trying to save for retirement, and even when we did save anything it seemed no matter how much money we had, the world would soon provide us a bill for it- l.o.l. When he died , I believed we'd managed to accrue $150,000.00 ( earmarked to start our own business now that kids were grown ) and that he'd been investing small amounts (2 - 3,000.00 at a time) and steadily making money off this investing. We had a brand new Lincoln Towncar (he said his father had bought for him in cash ), I had a car 4 years old that was paid for, plus we had 2 other old cars. Our modest home we'd lived in for 22 years, at that point ,was less than 2 years away from being paid off. In the next 3 days ,I discovered there was not one cent of money anywhere, including my own checking account that he'd taken $1,600.00 out of .The electricity , water and cable bills had not been paid for nearly 2 months..nor the mortgage. He'd quit his job in June. All of the money was gone.I had no money for anything, so I decided to get a Title Loan on a car to tide us over until the Life Insurance paid me, IF they paid me. (We'd been supporting the college student and our youngest daughter at the time). I couldn't find the titles, which had always been in my file cabinet under, what else ? - TITLES. I soon found out why when a Title loan company informed me via certified letter that if the $5,000.00 Title Loans plus the fees and interest, that he'd taken out 2-3 weeks before he died, was not paid within 2 weeks that they'd come take both cars. It all got worse from there. Going through the nightmare tragedy of losing my best friend in the world for half my life and seeing my kids mourn and suffer through that irreplaceable ,incomparable loss; going through the anger and deep pain of each discovered betrayal and lie, , the guilt of wondering what I did or did not do that I should've done differently, for weeks and months I was at my wits end, hanging on by a hair to my sanity . I went through 9 kinds of hell, from not having money to keep going to my pain doctor ,being cut off those meds suddenly after ten years- to the IRS sending me notices, 4 weeks after his death, that they were going to auction off my house...to my dog of 12 years dying in January to....one after another it all got worse...you can't imagine. His father never spoke to me, period. He never even asked how we were, his mother either. If not for my 6 sisters and my four kids and their lovingkindness and care and my reliance on my faithful God, I'd be dead already. In every instance that I thought "well this is it, this is the end I can't do anymore Lord, stick a fork in me -I'm done", the right thing would happen to get me through to the next ...and next. The right info. would come my way, help with electric bills, how to fight the IRS for my home when I had no part of the whys and how's of the debt and could not afford a lawyer,, a water heater free when water gushed from mine and 2 beautiful friends who installed it.A phone call from the only friend close to me at the time, at the exact moment I was about to ingest a ton of pills and just give up. I could go on and on but....yes, it was God's love and I realized it every time. He was saying to me, 'Stop stressing, crying, worrying .You do your part and follow my guidance when you feel it and tell me your concerns that are bigger than you and believe I will handle them, believe I can , believe that I want to......have faith that I will .... then let go- get out of my way and let me show you how I care for you." I am humbled and touched every time I see God's hands maneuvering things that logically should not have fallen into place for me. I am still in my home that I finished paying off, I am able to pay my necessary costs of living so far and I'm content and at peace 85% of the time , finding great joy in 4 grandchildren and my freedom. Although there are still numerous problems, today, I get out of God's way and pray....and pray. God bless you 2 for telling your story, I too, am far less stressed with far less money and belongings and I plan to live in a tiny home in the near future. The things we try to own on this earth, end up owning us, using all our time buying, caring for, paying the debt for the things we accumulate. By 45 to 50 , you just want to be free of it all. I try to teach my kids this now, early in their lives. We are all so much stronger than we realize and yes, God does care, and hears our cries.

We thought our life was all planned we have our place with a bit of land paid for and had a 401K that we were building and thought things we all set. Our 401K has been hit hard of course and while I know many are facing the similar situations. I appreciated you talking about thinking every time you were able to save some money it seemed like something happened. My worry was/is I need a couple of surgeries and now we not only don't have insurance we're not sure where we will end up. I needed to hear your stories of God providing over and over. You know, in the crash of 2008, up in Canada where I am from we were somewhat untouched by it (due to stricter regulation and what not regarding mortagages and loans, ect) By my spouse worked for a company that built luxury grade Windows that catered to the American market. The company laid off 2 thirds of its workers including my spouse, who had worked his way up to a decent wage in the 5 years he was there. It was awful. He found work again, but it was much different hours that we had to work around childcare for our four kids (I work part time) and it was less money. But eventually we did recover and bounce back. We watched on the news all those Americans struggling to eat and living in tents it was heartbreaking. Good for you guys for being so resourceful and, above all, happy. Your story warms the heart.

That just goes to show how interdependent we all are with this global economy. I'm glad to hear that you bounced back. In 2005 my husband and I bought our “dream home”, or so I thought. He was overseas for three years to earn the money. Our marriage fell apart shortly after his return. Long story short, we divorced and I am now living in a single story townhome, 1134 sq.ft. I was able to pay cash . I still drive my 2005 Camry and I have no debt. I retired a couple of years ago in order to watch my granddaughter two days per week. I’m not rich but I am wealthy and God has truly blessed my life. God bless you and thank you for sharing. ❤️

Six years later I watched one of your shows when you moved into the tiny trailer. I started watching you about 5 months ago and watched you with the house in florida. I'm 79 in 18 days and I so enjoyed your testimony. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. I'm a single woman who has been single for 40 or 42 years. And I have learned as Paul said I have learned to be happy with much and I've learned to be happy with little. And I praise God that you shared with people that you tied even when you didn't think you could afford it. I'm on Social Security and I won't go into my story but suffice to say my savings is not great anymore. But I give God his tithe and give as he leads me and I can truthfully say I am not begging for bread and I have a roof over my head. And I feel I have God's firewall around me protecting me. God bless you and I am so glad that I found you on youtube. I'm going to be contacting you soon about thrive.

Last night I realized how much of my life I have taken for granted living carelessly not saving for a rainy day, taking my health for granted. The miracle is it's 4:00 a.m. and I just watched your video and I realized I need to plan ahead for the future. I had covid 19 and was very ill and came close to dying and I managed to survive but still have long haul challenges with my health. I don't fully understand what's happening to my body since having covid, I have zero energy, I'm spacey and only do the bare minimum. Also grateful for your sharing with us about God's loving and divine intervention in your difficult circumstances. I know you are in a better place right now. But I feel the Lord somehow was preparing you for the times we are living today. And now you are in a better place, in the 'right' place, to face whatever it is to come. You are ahead than most of us. I praise the Lord, Creator of all things, for your lives and for having placed you in my way 🌟💜✝️💜🌟

Thank you for such an inspirational story! I'm 57 and am trying to get my husband to start downsizing, and getting out of debt. but he's just not there yet. I'm working on the stuff that he is not concerned about (kitchen, my personal items, knick knacks, etc), but it's still a process. Some days I want to just give up, but then I hear another story from another successful couple, and it gives me the encouragement I need to continue. Thank you so much!

Best wishes. I was severely injured two years in a rather silly work accident, breaking one leg in three places and tearing the patellar tendon off completely in the other. Coming back was hard, but I'm able to work again. It took a lot of time, hard work and effort, and the love of family and friends. And yes, faith helps a lot.

Ever After Do you know what the all seeing eye is? If you I use that pic of your eye, ppl will think you are into Satanism or that you are a Lucifarian. Are you? I think that you are not and are just innocent and ignorant to what one eye means.

Praise the lord!!! Y’all have really opened my eyes to what is coming in my life. I’m in a wheelchair and we were gonna get a custom built home for the main things. But, I can redo the trailer I live in now that is paid for and not go into debt. My husband is getting a big pay out for retirement we’re he works. We own the land and the trailer and also enough for my kids to go ahead and get there inheritance. God is great!!! I thank y’all so much for this video. It has really helped me make a life decision. Live simply and live free!!! Luv y’all!!!🌻🌾🌱🌺
