Dunbar was young. Big Joe older. Of course Dunbar would be more playful, rowdy. But Big Joe is my guy. I just think he is gorgeous.

I just love watching this sweet family and the great way they talk to the animals. Each bison is like a part of the family. Dunbar and Eleanor are my favorites. And when they jump, bounce and frolic, it's just great. But when I see them running to the next field, I can almost hear them yelling, "FIELD TRIP, FIELD TRIP". Lol

Food trained animals, that sure saves work and time. Give them what they want. Awesome.

Beautiful pictures of the Bison

We had a lot of brownheaded cowbirds in east central Illinois. They are smart lazy birds. The lay their eggs in smaller birds nest and let the other birds raise the baby cowbirds.

Easy catch for sure. Get a bell to ring every time you show up with cubes then you could call them in like kids to a classroom.

Hoss is a riot to watch! Love Big Joe and Dunbar but that Hoss, what a character. Glad to see you went back and checked chains. I was going to yell at you! Lol Being a ranchers daughter...never leave the chains down...fix em as you do em, never allows for error. We had Big bulls so it was dangereous to leave a gate open. This old lady has a love affair with your Bison. Job well done.

Beautiful sunset. I lived in Lawton 84-91. I remember that first, cold/windy/rainy front blow in just after Thanksgiving of 84. BRRRRRRR. This 🏜 desert girl was so miserable. I know my nose was red, and my toes froze. 🎶💐💖

Those Cowbirds lay their eggs in other bird's nests. The other bird's raise the cowbird babies. But the cowbird babies are usually bigger than the host birds babies and therefore the cowbird baby kick the other chicks out of the nest or they don't get enough to eat to thrive. One kind of host bird is the beautiful Hooded Oriole.

The Princess always manages to get special treatment. She's no dummy.

The setup you have now is one of the best and it makes much more sense with the feeders for grain and hay....Hoss is a wild and crazy bull

I agree with you 💯 Sunset is Simply Beautiful!! With your technique of feeding and moving your Bison, you could probably move a one hundred head at a time with no problem. Maybe a couple two or three horses to bring up the stragglers at the end, in a hundred head.. Great system going on for sure!! Your Bison trust you as their herdsmen and feeder. Most of them have been with you long enough to learn that them and you and the Boss lady show respect to each other. So it's like the bison show y'all respect as well to a point. Totally awesome to see!

Yes they do..l only know from seeing them laying down..they're just so chilled..unless it's breeding season of course..😂🇬🇧💞✝️🙏🦬👍👏

There's a very similar species in Poland. The horns on the European bison are slightly different from the US & Canadian Bison.
