Elenore is a keeper. She is low female on the totem pole and some of your fans to relate to her. She is the one bison with a different personality so fans have gotten attached to her. She does her job most years and provides one red dog. She is a good mother. It would be beyond sad if she was sold for jerky.

Dusty would never let that happen. If she were ever to leave the ranch it would be to an animal reserve where she would be pampered 😀.

How cool that Elenor's Bull can go to another farmer and be a breeder! it must really make you proud to see that happen (or I hope it does)! I'm like everyone else, I like seeing her once in a while to know how she's doing and so on! She's such a love.

You are 100% right...Eleanor is special. A fan favorite for sure. I hope all of the original herd, and the special ones to come over the years, get to live out their lives on the Ponderosa. You were born to be a teacher. The school system lost a good one, but you are teaching the You Tube world about bison exceptionally well. Thank you, I enjoy every episode with a smile. Keep ranchin'

It's good news to hear that Eleanor's first born is going on to be the herd sire for another herd. He is a good looking bull. 💖💖💖

I hope Eleanor is able to have another calf and live on a few more years! Sure is a better video than the last 2 😘. We need an update though on Belle Star.

I love how you show the Bison and what it takes to raise them but you also teach the viewers about them and their history which is pretty cool in itself. I have a few favorites which includes Eleanor because she is the sweetest of them all. I still feel so bad for BellStar with losing her calf sending prayers to her and your family. You still have to keep vigilant around Eleanor and the others but its really cool to see the Bison up as close as you can get. The drone footage is also pretty and often beautiful! Definitely love what you have done at the Ponderosa its a beautiful place, especially at sunrise and sunset! You and your family are great people and Brooks is cute and adorable but growing quickly. 🐃🐥🐓🐎🌄👨‍👩‍👧❤🥰

Valuable? Most farmers hate having males bc they are "no good to them". I watch another farmer who has a sheep farm. Every single time she has a boy u can hear how disappointed she is. But have a girl and she's all happy. It's disgusting imo how some animals are totally disregarded bc of the sex. Its disturbing. Watch some videos about slauterhouses. Most animals they kill off are males.

Glad to see someone that knows it ain't a puppy farm. Some of these folks scare me. They are the type to get too close to a Yellowstone Bison for a selfie. They can't seem to understand they are risking their LIFE doing stuff like that. "But he/she is so cute." Yeah, cute and deadly.

I am pretty near bed bound, since finding you and those lovely bison I find myself checking out your You Tube videos daily. Just love it. I doubt I could eat such beautiful magnificent creatures. You do have to make a living.I wish and pray for all the very best for your farm and your family. I was brought up as a country girl in New Zealand, knowing sheep,goats,cow and cattle, horses of course, but never bison. Here in Australia I have seen buffalo, but never bison. I did see some Bison in North Canterbury, South Island. N.Z. it is so fantastic to see people farming them.. 🇦🇺💕

WELL DONE DUSTY!!! Will Eleanor's bull inherit some of her disposition as an animal that is a little easier to care for? In terms of traits you, as a bison rancher, want to encourage, how much is genetic and how much is environmental and the way you handle and condition the behavior of the bison? It is so nice to see the rain this year. I also wonder if you were hit hard by Thursday's derecho storm. I am in Chicago and we have had much Canadian fire smoke in our air but the worst storms went south of us. Please keep revisiting the burn pasture to show the phases of bio-restoration. Also love hearing about the horse and chickens.

Awww, Eleanor and her wonky horns - so sweet. Good that Eleanbar bull is going off to different, if not greener pastures. btw, I got that brown cap and the green t-shirt and I love wearing them both. I also love my white bison tin mug which I use for dessert instead of coffee. I will be working my way up to the steaks while enjoying your great videos.

Your hard work will pay off. I liked that you talk about the business part. Bison ranching not only puts a great product on the table, you are also promoting the once almost extinct Bison herd back to numbers where they are safe to be around for a long time. Pure genetics will save the species I hope that is important in your operation.

We’ve ordered different packages of bison meat from Cross Timbers and it is excellent! I grew up raising cattle and swine, and bison meat is just better than most. So if anyone reads this, you should order from Cross Timbers…you will be glad that you did!
