Wow, you just showed up in our feed, and I watched your Reasons I left the United States: 3 years later in Spain and Why Spain is Richer than the U.S. videos. Oh man, you really articulate some things that other ex-pat videos (including my own) have not been able to - at least not in such an eloquent and polished way. I liked both videos and am now subscribed. We moved from San Diego 3 years ago to France (Grenoble). The thoughts you expressed in those two videos really resonated with us. I've always searched for a way to boil down the 1,001 reasons life is better here. The other day I told my cousin that life is less stressful here than it was in the U.S. That came close. I'm looking forward to watching this video and others if only to watch a kindred spirit. Thank you and Bon Courage!

I’ve been enjoying your videos for a while. I have been living in a small Pueblo on the Gulf of Mexico, not too far, from the city of Merida. Moving to another country is an adjustment, but I really enjoy being here. People are very friendly and kind, at least all I’ve met have been so. You are tempting me to visit Valencia, perhaps soon. If so, we’ll have to meet for coffee, if you’re free ! Until, then please keep making your videos ! And the idea of a short flight to Paris is also exciting to contemplate !😊

ANTOANETTA, Congratulations! I’m surprised, however, that you don’t have more subscribers, like 500K because your videos are so thoughtful and well done. I really appreciate how you integrate different perspectives and values into your commentary along with the historical and social-cultural information. I’m American and my family is from Spain and Cuba and I grew up with mainly the attitudes and values of the latter 2 along with a good smattering of the former. But socially and culturally I’ve always had a challenging time adjusting to life in the US. I’ve traveled around Spain a good deal and lived there for a year ages ago. For years now, as I’ve headed toward retirement I have thought of getting my citizenship and moving there. I am sorting out some health issues and starting to get other details taken care of so I can make the move. I mention this because, of course, I get cold feet every now and then, but when I watch or rewatch your vlogs I’m reassured that I’m making the right decision. BTW I hope you get a tutor and seriously study Spanish because you are going to grasp so much more and you will enjoy yourself so much more. Keep up the good work!

Been to Bali a few times, since my wife is from Indonesia, and really enjoyed it. Lombok, just to the east of Bali, is my plan C for retirement. Valencia is plan A.... and we will be going to Valencia in 2 weeks to check it out. Your videos helped us make this decision. Thank you.

This vlog was very heart-warming...It takes a lot of work and I can only imagine how good it feels to be appreciated for your work! Although my heart is in Portugal I look forward to visiting Valencia thanks to you!! And I've been thinking about how and where to spend the next 10 years of my life. Spain sounds most appealing. Luckily for me, I'm fairly fluent in Spanish.😂 Heare some of the reasons I like you and your channel... You speak English extremely well. Most people in the States don't speak as well as you do! Even the ones with degrees! The photography/filming. Clear. Captivating. Beautiful scenery. And the videos aren't long or boring. The content. You see the bs that's going on here for what it is. And you've kept your head straight and chose to be neutral, like I am. I'm in a navy blue city and my views aren't all conservative, but to many here, I'm a stick in the mud😂 Lastly... We like YOU! congratulations Antoanetta! I've been researching and learning more about Spain and in particular Valencia for a few weeks now as I consider a move out of the US. Your real life honest perspective and walk around the city help give a strong look and feel of Valencia (and other cities).

Congratulations Antoanetta. Your hard work is paying off. I started watching your videos about 2 years ago. I got somewhat attached to you and your videos, I guess because your work with jewelry. My father used to make watch casings of 18k gold engraved with diamonds. Sorry I went into a tangent... Anyway, time permitting, please do a video on Alicante and Málaga? Specifically the small towns around them. Ah, by the end of this year you should have between 15 to 20k subscribers. Good luck on your endeavors. I love your channel, I'm a subscriber. I thought you were Spanish, now I heard you say you speak little of it. Can you tell us where are you from originally & what other languages do you speak? I always wanted to move to Europe. I can pick up on French pretty quickly bc I studied it before (32 y.s in the US I forgot French) & I speak 2 more languages besides English. But no Spanish. How can I get around without Spanish in Spain?
