This video shows how I clone the old HHD/SSD (Kingston 500GB) to a much bigger SSD (Western Digital SA510 2TB) by using Macrium Reflect free software.
1) Download Macrium Reflect (free)
2) Get 2.5 Sata enclosed case (SABRENT 2.5 Inch SATA to USB 3.0 Tool Free External Hard Drive Enclosure)
3) Install the WD 2TB into Sabrent.
4) Insert Sabrent to the Laptop USB drive
5) Open up the Macrium Reflect.
6) Click the correct source and destination drive.
Warning - Anything in the destination drive will be erased.
7) Watch the video and start the process.
8) For my Laptop, it takes about 4 hours (Laptop Dell E6510 WIndow 10 Professional , RAM 8GB, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, old drive 500 gb used 300gb, new drive is WD SA510 2TB).
9) After completed, shut down Laptop.
10) Remove Laptop battery.
11) Open the back of the slot of hard drive.
11) Remove old drive. (500GB)
12) Install new drive (2TB)
13) Reboot.
14) Your C drive should show the new 2TB disk space and everything should boot and works exactly the same because it is a clone of the old drive.
