You have a good point but the people that left Ukraine to work in other countries like the man in the video was not under refugee status he just left to go and work and live abroad you see how sneaky that is. I totally agree but with Article 33 of the 1951 Refugee Convention, prohibits the return of refugees and asylum applicants to countries where they would risk persecution.

In Denmark, we are conscripting women as well. And in all honesty, it has had a very positive effect. Women do bring new perspectives to the table that help problem-solve in strategic and tactical situations. And to be clear, our conscription is quite different from the Ukrainian or Russian strategy of just getting any healthy person of age with two hands. Or even the American volunteer way of having recruiters be incentives to just get as many people to sign up as possible. A lot of people who are told to show up for conscription are outright denied if they show disinterest.

They do have conscripts, many of them, watch any interview with prisoners of war or watch any news, Russian included, they don't hide that mobilization is a thing. 3. Other nations can join as volunteers, so they technically get "conscripted"

Clearly the war isn't going as well as they claim if not why they need more meat for the grinder. All these men who fled clearly have no desire to fight. I would rather have 1 willing volunteer than 100 conscripts

In the US, men are subject to draft starting at age 18. Until last week, Ukrainian men were not subject to draft until age 27! Ukraine has now lowered it to 25, but that's still a full 7 years later than the US draft age. Why?!

You need to be more empathetic to these men. For one, many of them even if Ukraine existed would have absolutely no problem switching to an EU citizenship because of how poorly Ukraine is run. my understanding is Ukrainians can elect to serve in the rear echelons and not the front-lines if they volunteer.

When you put your trust in the wrong friends 😂they allowed you to sleep for 1 night and send you back to the front line in the morning 😂

Whilst I do empathise with the Ukrainian men who escaped the war (I'd be terrified of fighting and dying myself), they really can't have their cake and eat it too. This really isn't fair on all the Ukrainian men and women who are also scared, but are actually fighting for the children of Ukraine (appears to be the main motivation from what I have seen). So stopping consular services is 100% the right thing to do, as it sends a clear message that able-bodied Ukrainian men won't be rewarded for running away. It's easy for me to say, but I don't see how they can sleep at night knowing they have abandoned the innocent children of Ukraine.

It's understandable that they don't want to stay and fight, the fear of death is a powerful force, but they will have a big problem whether Ukraine wins or not. When they try to return they will face prison, and even when released they will face the shame of being cowards by their countrymen, because others died to save them. And those others include girls, women and men twice their age. And if, god forbid, Russia wins, the retribution by Russians will be extreme.

Maybe we have a bit much of patriotism around here but I think everyone should serve their country in some way or another while young. Either the military or some civil service. If you’re unwilling to serve your own country you should apply for citizenship in one you feel strongly enough to think is worth defending.

Why are women not being constripted into the army. Denmark women go into military service and Israel women are constripted. Why on men allowed to die and women allowed to leave country.

well yeh but they obviously also need loads of people who need to fight. Not everybody can drive a truck or be in the kitchen behind the frontlines. A lot of these battles in Ukraine are meat grinders too. It ain't Afghanistan or Iraq. I can't blame these men honestly.

When it comes to the survival of the nation, the state apparatus is reduced, the economy and military industry are mobilized, we have nothing like that. Moreover, we have a huge privileged caste of officials, security forces, propagandists, rich people and their relatives who will never go to war. In total, these are hundreds of thousands, if not several million people.

Don't men at war since more than two years have mothers, wives, children? What does give Ukrainians who are healthy and don't have any life situation exempting them from military service a privilege over them? Ukrainian soldiers have the right to retire after 3 years. If they could fight, so could others.

War is war, Everyone should contribute to the country. All them men whi are out the country should go back and do something. But the law should be for everyone for rich or poor all should serve the country.

I can't tell the difference between Ukrainian language or Russian but lately I hear a lot of people speaking those languages while out in public in New Jersey. For some reason these foreigners speak very loud while on their phone or talking to their companions. Draft dodging may be bigger than what they thought.

There's over 100000 healthy men aged between 18 and 40 that had payed bribes to leave Ukraine it is those that need to be sent back to be drafted. Over 9000 men live in Monaco they too should be sent back to do the draft . The MPs relatives they too should be called up along with the MP that's another 25000 and 45000 police along with 15000 traffic wardens and Zelensky will get his 250000 troops for the front the only thing that will drop will be corruption.

Why throw more men at a war even they admit they aren’t likely to win? To line the pockets of politicians in my home state? Your young men are dying so our old ones stay rich. This is not a noble war, and it should have been over if the USA didn’t shoot down peace deals to keep making money while standing ontop of young Ukrainian men’s graves. It’s shameful to watch a whole generation of Ukrainian men wiped out for the perpetuation of economic interests.

Of course there is concern for their country, it is in danger, they are very big sacrifices from all of them, do not expect victory to come from outside.

No one is asking them to die! Only to serve. Yeah, there is a risk. I served in 4 Fing Wars and I made it home alive. 26 years I served. There lots of others who served with me that didn't die. Death happens in War. But the consequences of not going to serve mean many more will die because some was selfish and didn't do their part.

Those who are not willing to be of service to their country in some way during the hard times are not to be given any benefits in the good times. Those who fled or got another passport should renounce their citizenship and receive nothing or Ukraine. The brave soldiers shoukd be honoured and receive privileges and preference to those who fled, in perpetuity. Let the warriors reap the reward of their selflessness and sacrifice.

It's honestly insane to see so many people in the comments calling those Ukrainian men cowards, saying they have a duty to serve etc. Let's be clear: we have ZERO idea about the personal stories of those people, how and why they left, how they feel about the Ukrainian state, about fighting in a war, etc. It really sounds like some here view them as just a "human resource," a tool, a pile of nameless bodies, something totally abstract. Imagine a gay dude whose life was absolutely miserable in Ukraine, for example. It would be insane to tell him to go "fight for the children of Ukraine," as someone wrote here. yeah. I have a Ukrainian friend and her father took his wife, his daughter, and son's family to Poland and supported them here, while his son went to war willingly. And now he will be potentially sent to war too, wtf? He's financially and emotionally supporting two families, and sacrificing his own son. Now son and father will both fight, while their families will barely scrape by. It'll be a desperate situation, but perhaps it mirrors the desperate situation on the front.
