What's more, malefactros from WW2 era, sadistic murderers of Jews and Poles, are elevated to the rank of national ukrainian heroes. It's as if the Germans were building monuments to Himmler today. Madness! Meanwhile in Russia they have the mausoleum of Lenin - the genocider. Both warring countries are distant from Western civilization.

Ukraine would never invade Russia, but Russia attacked so they had no choice but to defend themselves. How is Ukraine suppose to ever trust Putin now? These are not isolated. My friends in Ukraine say guys are dressing as women when they leave their homes to go grocery shopping. One's a doctor and they picked him up after showing his exemption papers and still didn't release him for four hours. These man on the street interviews are bogus as it's a criminal offense in Ukraine to say anything publicly that weakens Ukrainian morale or disparages the military. The SBU is raiding peoples homes and making arrests over Facebook and twitter posts that are critical of the government, military, or war. I'd say everything is fine too if someone shoved a camera in my face and asked those questions.

There has always been a Wild West in Ukraine! If you have money, then you can bribe anyone or pay off. If the relatives of these men had money, then you can approach the soldiers to offer money and they will let him go, $ 500 is usually worth buying off. And if you want to go abroad, you pay the border guards $ 5,000 and they let you through. In Ukraine, everything is solved with money, if you want a college diploma, they sell it on the Internet, you can also buy weapons now, if the police stop your car, then you can also give a bribe and go further. You can trade on the street without paying taxes, the main thing is to pay the local sheriff. There are laws in the country, but no one seriously complies with them. If Western organizations enter the country, they will be very surprised and realize that Ukraine is very far from the European Union..

However, it is far cheaper and easier dealing with Vietnamese officials, police, military officers and communist party officials, also without repercussions or being bled repeatedly by wannabe oligarchs in Ukraine. It's laughable to think that Ukraine might one day be part of NATO and the EU, those who are in positions of power are rubbing their grubby hands together anticipating how much money and how much easier t will be to get extremely wealthy from all the billions that would be pouring into Ukraine, they would be lined up with their pockets wide open and carrying buckets to fill with the millions that would somehow get lost in the shuffle, and without facing the firing squad they would have if caught by the Kremlin siphoning money being invested. They know who is the bigger push over and just as corrupt to care about a few billion vanishings.

@@bernhardstil6128 But sadly it is true, I heard it from Ukranians living here in Germany aswell (who have relatives in Ukraine). That the Ukranian Army seems to struggle finding enough men power, because of high losses, since they started recruiting 16-17 year old teenagers and old men and that it now happens more often, that they have to mobilize by force. I really dont like Putin and the "mighty" russian army because of corruption, bad tactics etc. really made clowns out of themselfes for the most part till now 🤡, but it sadly does seem that the western media isnt showing the true picture of the ukranian army, which does seem to struggle by now. I dont like saying it, but a retired (used to be) very high ranking german General (used to be the highest german General for a few years, chief of staff of nato for a few years etc.) said the same a few weeks ago and said its almost a crime making people and the ukranians still believe that they could still win the war, that russia indeed in the first few months had very high losses and till a few months ago the ukranian army indeed was capable of powerful counter offensives etc, but things have changed and the media isnt showing it... Only slowly western media the last few days is showing rarely more of the true picture (ammo shortage, Russians fire more than 4 artillery shells for each ukranien etc.).

I looked into this recently. Only approx 10% of their forces were drafted. They have a fairly high volunteer military. There is issue with the martial law being enacted and men between 18-60 are not allowed to leave the country. The UN even complained about it. Im not sure what is going on here in this video but it is indeed a bad look that Zelenskyy will have to deal with. I cannot imagine he will be happy. Im sure Denys Davidov will report about it if he is aware. He has made reports about men trying to flee and they froze to death. He’s been very vocal about that law and other problems with Ukraine’s govt. But he also fled the country and he won’t even disclose what country he is in. Like why is that a secret? He claimed he lived on outskirts of Kiev the first 8 mos of the war, so why is his new country a secret. so it’s peculiar. He makes me think he left Ukraine illegally. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Been hearing rumors of this for a year. The U.N. ranked Ukraine as the fourth most corrupt country in the world two years ago. The thing is, it seems like the citizens want to think and be different than the past. It's a process. Difficult to tear away from old roots. This is probably their one and only chance to do so. I love the people of both these nations. This whole last year has just sickened me. Both will be destroyed by this war.
