    This whole Miami Heat Organization is just amazing. I'm a summer league guy and watching Bam and Robinson develop in Vegas each year was tremendous. From the moment they drafted him, they were letting a guy thought of as a run-n-jump center compared to Dwight Howard bring the ball up the floor and test out his jumper. Giving him that confidence from the jump is something to be cheered for

    As a Bulls fan, I remember shitting all over Spoelstra when LeBron first went to Miami. Saying shit like LeBron is the real coach of this team and all of the typical denigrating trash. Man was that a horrible take. He's one of the truly elite coaches in this league who consistently proves his worth with in-series adjustments and player development. I have come to really respect him as one of the best.

    The Rockets tried to do it with all the nerdy number munching and stat crunching but Miami saw the thing that really makes GSW turn, having two great shooters gravity off the ball dictate the pace of the game and get their teammates easy looks as to not give up the 3.

  • @joeshanahan2919

    @joeshanahan2919

    3 жыл бұрын

    RennWickam well I think the issue w the rockets is that they rely too heavily on harden making hard shots. Like they just expect harden to hit contested step backs. The heat get open looks from actual chemistry and ball movement. It’s not Duncan and Tyler taking ridiculous shots, they’re actually open bc of their ball movement and offensive strategy

  • @RennWickam

    @RennWickam

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@joeshanahan2919 that's kinda my whole point. The Rockets looked at GSW like the roster creator in 2k and tried to recreate it the best they could, get a bunch of 3 point shooters and run an extra small lineup with two amazing defenders in RoCo and Tucker. But they got so busy trying to build a team like GSW on paper they forgot the little things, mainly the insane motion offense that Steph and Klay work out of. The beauty of Miami and GSW is that they have so many guys who eat at you in a game instead of Harden having to do everything. They copied GSW's answer without showing their work if that makes sense

    Duncan's shooting technique is the new meta in the next few years. Shoot and catch. That's why he's so fast.

    This is a very complete analysis. Thanks for not omitting the defensive liabilities Robinson and Herro are. Spo is even hiding those two by playing a zone. If Boston wants to win this series, they have to exploit those two whenever they are on the floor.

    Not saying that they're nearly as good, but Duncan and Tyler's shooting and off-ball movement creeates shot opportunities for their teammates in the same way The Splash Bros do, with their gravity. The opponents are so worried about these guys running around that Miami's cutters (especially Bam and Jimmy) get all the room inside from the insanity on the court.
