How to work kitchener stitch

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Kitchener stitch is a knitting technique used for grafting together two sets of live stitches, most often stockinette stitch. Instead of binding off and sewing two edges together, you can use a tapestry needle and yarn to join the stitches completely seamlessly.
In this video, you'll learn how to use kitchener stitch to join two pieces of stockinette or the end of a tube.

I love the tip that I got about the kitchener stitch from Purl Together's KZread channel. She showed us that after the initial setup, every stitch that you're going to drop is picked up in pattern. Meaning that in the front, you go into the knit stitch as if to knit it (and then you drop that stitch), and in the back, you go into the purl stitch as if to purl it (and then drop that stitch). I couldn't remember for the life of me until I was shown that way of remembering.
