    Question , Handle bar switch , two sets of wires 2 pin starter button and a6 pin …. My question is the wires much match in the 6 pin from the handle switch to the harness? Asking because all my Color’s are there ; just not matching up . Only spot . Starter button isnt an issue . It cranks . No spark . Everything tests out fine New electrical all around

    @@donmckinnon9282 Yes wires must match. There is a 5 pin and and 6 pin connector in the front...They both look like 6 pin connectors...but one only uses 5 pins. I am actually working on another build and have the harness on my kitchen table. If you have instagram or Facebook I can send you a pic to show exactly what to look for. Something else sometimes these Chinese wiring harnesses dont match perfect...I have had to move individual wires inside connectors to make them match.

    That was great, thanks so much. My rear tethered kill switch wire broke off right at the switch, I'm wondering if it can run without this switch being connected or do I need to order a new one? Also the green ground wire and the negative battery cable are together so I gather both of these loops go onto the negative battery post? I've never encountered a double ground/negative cable before... I hope you make more videos.

    You’re welcome man. Can you please make sure you subscribe. I try to drop at least 1 video a week….I do believe you can run without the kill switch being connected(must be completely disconnected). If it is connected the button has to be activated. As for the green ground wire and negative battery cable…they do go onto the negative battery post. It’s important to have a good ground on the negative battery cable…if you do not the thin green ground will melt and fry your wire harness(trust me lol)

    Quick question in the link you shared for the new wire harness I noticed that's for a 8 winding stator coil which is for a 125 cc ...well today I was able to remove the stator finally however mines is a rxl50 viper a 50 cc and also have a 90cc both have a 7 winding coil ...would a 8 winding coil work on a 50cc ?

  • @brokemexicanreviews

    @brokemexicanreviews

    Жыл бұрын

    8 coil stator I posted was for 150cc quad. 2 and 6 coil stators are used on 125cc and smaller Chinese quads such as TaoTao’s. If yours has a 7 coil stator you have to replace with a 7 coil stator because there are other parts you would have to change in order to make that stator compatible. I know for sure that electrical components would need modified/changed between 2/6 and 8 coil stators . I would replace with the same 7 coil stator. So you don’t have to heavily modify your quad.

    It is a very tight fit on the larger frames… But I have done it just leave the zip ties loose and you can adjust as needed after everything is installed. If you have trouble reaching any cables… you can splice in and add an extension with crimp connectors using the same size wire. I have yet to find longer harnesses that work for these. I link everything in the description on these videos. Please make sure to subscribe.

    @RjS Make sure all your connections are tight. Make sure the key is turned on. If you have a kill switch in the back make sure that is fully seated.I typically bypass the brakes before I connect the hand brakes to check for spark. I have ran into bad handbrakes before. I leave the safer switch off so I don’t have to worry about it. If it’s disconnected you don’t have to worry about the safety switch being bad

    What's up bro I've been watching your videos and I admire your work and contents ....I have a problem I hope you can help me out...I bought two rtvs for my kids...I have zero experience with atvs...I do got some knowledge with motorcyclesss...anyhow 1 is an eton Rxl 50 viper it doesn't have a kickstand... The 2nd one eton AXL thunder 90 I don't see the kick stand but it has something where you can tell it has a break pedal or something they are 15 yr old were left out outside uncovered so I was watching your videos and I figured I should order wire harness which I did however the cdi is Way too small it has 4 pins the original dci from the rxl 50 is a bit bigger and and pin connector has more plus more wires also ...also the reley solenoid has two wires only the one from eBay the original has 4 pin connector...also I checked and it doesn't seem to have a stator I paid 28 dls for wiring harness...but it doesn't fit neither of the etons even though it said that it was for etons 50cc 70cc 90cc I watched ur videos and you purchased the same wiring harness and it worked fine for you.... I need help bro anything will be appreciated

    You actually don’t have to hook up the safety switch in the rear. Not necessary for wiring.

    There is a green and yellow wire on the front of the wiring harness. Hold those two together to bypass the brakes. Make sure the key is turned on, make sure the starter is good, and if the kill switch is on the back, make sure it’s fully seated or disconnected. Please Make sure to subscribe. I drop a bunch of DIY content, tool reviews, and quad content.

    Bad news…those engines are way different than the engines on the Chinese quads that I work on. I’m not sure the wiring harness will work because I have never done one on a quad like that.

    Bought a quad off him and he said it was his son's personal quad and he put a lot of money into it. One day of riding and now it has no power. Took it back to him to fix it and it's worse now than when I gave it to him. Don't trust these guys. Just go buy a new one and save yourself the headache.

    I am not going to delete this comment because I know the truth. Quad ran fine when I gave it to you. You also did not mention that you guys flipped the quad, wrecked it, and sent me videos of you redlining it.
