It’s been more than 10 years, I finally got inspired to sing again and tried to put up my microphone and record. But the bands of this microphone shock mount were torn. I tried to replace them with new bands, but I couldn’t figure out how to wind it! I was disappointed and I thought I had to replace the whole thing. Then I found this tutorial video!!! You saved my passion for music!! Thank you so much!!!!💖🙏

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I sat and looked at the various components after cleaning the mount and gave up trying to put it back together properly with it some years ago!!! Great!

This is the 6th video I have watched trying to re-strap my shock-mount, I was going to give up and buy a new one however... I understood your explanation and now have my mount strapped. thanks!

Thank you! Always kind of hard to see black on black so your calm narration of what you were doing was super helpful. We're back in business! Good job.

Near as I can tell David, you are the only human being on planet Earth (except for retired AKG employees) with this knowledge. :>) Seriously, I think this is the only place to see this demonstrated, and thank you so much for showing us the way! B&H photo had a replacement band for $11.00, yes, one band! But, my H-100 is back in business!

Thank you very much! If the straps are already too old and stretched, you can make knots in the loops after the straps have been hooked. This makes the band firmer.

Also, you can add black electrical tape over the up and down connections on the large piece once everything is in place. Makes harder for things to come undone, yet you can still fix if needed. 🧠

Thank you Sir.... Feel Soooo "STUPID" !!! Great video!!!!! I have the exact same cradle, what are the chances? 64 recordings later my AKG was leaning like the freaken "Tower of Pisa"!!!! Decided to take the time and string it properly cause I watched an interview with Bruce Swedien last night and he was super anal about that stuff. Thanx Again!
