My strategy is try to buy at least 1 property of each type, that way nothing gets built without your approval and you have all the negotiating power to get what you want.

I don’t know why, but in one monopoly game everyone I played with decided to buy everything they land on. If you are wondering how I could observe that, I was the banker. I held 0 auctions.

@@Antonio-wh8lh Most games I have ever played were like that. People didn't trade either so the only way anyone ever won was by being the first to land on every property in a set, then being the only player with houses.

You cannot buy houses unless you own all one color. I buy a color to block my opponent from being able to buy houses.

All fun and games until my opponents camp on yellow and red and basically own my everything through monstrosity of rents

I just played a game where I got 3 railroads immediately, got all reds quickly, got a set of yellows, and after building houses on red, bankrupted someone to get the other railroad and all orange properties. Before you knew it, I had EVERY single property on the jail side. Including the railroads and utilities. The game didn't last too long after that.

I have a tactic of buying expensive stuff, for example, yellow tiles, then buy hotels there. My opponents were afraid when they got close xD

Yellow is a quite high risk high reward place, it costs like 900 quid to own the entire area but when you set like 2-3 houses to them, they basically win you the game

The problem is that someone has to land on them. Meanwhile you might land on someone else's houses/hotel. If you have the only monopoly then that isn't a problem.

The fourth one you have to sell all house to mortgage

Also a rule that no one ever knows or plays properly is auction. If you land on a property instead of buying it you can turn it into an auction and get it cheaper or make people pay more for the property

You actually want to buy the railroads because the rent becomes 200 if you have all 4. The price of 200/ RR pays itself overtime and actually helped me achieve a hand of 8,316 M in monopoly deluxe edition. That was also with 5 other properties- didn’t own any group…

@@King_73117 It is though when you own all 4. And there’s a chance card that states advance to nearest railroad. When you own them you get $200 rent each time and for the chance card double the regular rent. Its very lucrative and helped me achieve a hand of $8,316.

Also, never trade someone a whole block or an entire corner.

My technique Buy light blues and get at least the most expensive to a hotel, buy railroads, easy money

Last time I played I got entirety of the places between Jail and Free Park and set houses in Purple and Orange yet lost the game because my big brother stormed through Yellow and Red

I just played monopoly last night, 3 houses on park place and boardwalk took out everyone they landed on them a total 4 times 2200 for park place 3000 for boardwalk

I always buy the light blue properties because it is a lot profit because if you play with the speed dice it will more likely to get land on

You should say the Free Parking side of the board

Here’s the real strategy: If someone can’t afford a property, give them a loan with 100% interest due in 3 turns to either bankrupt your opponents and become incredibly rich

Still undefeated in Monopoly online games

The pinks and oranges are my go to in Monopoly

I know people who do all these things....it makes the games really fascinating

Thats why Orange is my fav color

I buy the houses at the bottom of the board because they are cheap and easy to max out, and give a good bit of income. Add the 4 railroads to that and you’re likely to win, as long as you follow these tips 😊

Last tip is sure way to stalemate and waste everyone’s evening rather than finishing a game fast to play another

My luck is so bad I buy 24 properties and no one lands on them, yet someone had 6 and I landed on 5 of them in one go round

Orange and red properties are the way to go. Railroads are occasionally great if you can somehow get all four of them

I always go by blue with trains and sometimes brown too. I swear as i remember i never lost a game.

by monopoly rules you have to sell your house first before mortgaging your property, also you can’t collect rent when they’re mortgaged

I get the light blues and browns (maybe purples if I’m feeling extra zesty) and only put down 4 houses on each property and hoard them from everyone else.

Also try and get the “Water Works” and “Lighthouse” as quick as you can as you can deplete other players money before they collect more

In a trade situation that will net me a set I always give the person who trades with me a discount. The first time they land on the property I give them a free pass on rent. 2nd time it’s 50% off. That deal always seems to drive them to agree to the trade

I go all in on the Greens, Boardwalk, & Park Place and still win

My strategy is to get the utility services, the train stations, the light blue, orange and red tiles. Seems to work out pretty well for me

The go side works well depending on what other players have. I’ve always said the light blues are a powerhouse because of the fact that they’re cheap and so are the houses, whilst also having huge returns if players land on them. It’s not a sure fire way to win but can be a decent defense if the jail side is split up amongst the other players.

It's good if you can get that monopoly early in the game. You can build cheaply and bankrupt other players before they can build houses on more expensive properties.

@@Bozgle there IS no "jail side" when divided diagonally- it's on the dividing line. There WOULD be a free parking side.

The way I won Monopoly was just quietly making deals with people that would mean I didn't pay rent on their properties in exchange for my properties and untimely I owed nobody in the game rent ever

@@RemakeMandra It’s not about raw rent values it’s about how much profit you will get over time, which is best for orange because of jail. Dark blue is good, but it’s hard to get for a number of reasons and is in a pretty dead region of the board.

You can't win in 15 seconds because the game play time is 1hr and 30mins but the tip really nice man.

Actually, my strategy is, to get properties in the go side because its most likely that from the start its possible to land on them and i recommend the green properties because after a hotel they will have to pay 1000+ and yes orange is good and stations are actually good because if you get the chance, it is possible to say "go to the nearest station, if owned, pay the owner twice the rent"

Honestly, I like buying the light blues. They're cheap to develop and thus have a good return on investment.

How to win monopoly easily, make the game mode proprieties improvements, and buy boardwalk once you land on it, and EVERYTIME you pass go, buy a house at the end of your turn until it’s a full hotel, and then, wait until your opponent gets on boardwalk so they lose.

Mortgaging your properties means you get money from the bank to mortgage it, but you don’t get money when someone lands on it,since it’s been mortgaged. If you mortgage, it costs half of what it costs to buy the house again, if you did sell. Meaning, if you need money, you mortgage, you don’t sell.

@@JoshDoes Thank you! Right, it says “never sell your houses” within the context of “mortgage you properties”. Official rules say that when mortgaging, all houses should be sold at half of their cost, then mortgage.

i maxed out Parkway and Boardwalk and won by a landslide because everyone landed on my Boardwalk twice each and became bankrupt as I was in jail almost the entire game with some lucky roles

dont forget to always buy parks

I play a bit differently with my friends, we have a charity system where you can donate money to charity (put the money you donate in the middle of the board) and whoever lands on free parking wins the charity money, one time someone who was nearly bankrupt got 2k

Although this is a good way to win i feel like you should use it after playing for like 2 hours which is kinda fun or play as long as you like

Guys I think he means selling houses on other properties and to mortgage useless properties BEFORE selling houses.

And what happens when one player willingly gives all of their properties to another player just so you lose because you didn't accept a shitty deal

Know that people have seen these videos and work on a slow control strategy to make disproportionate profit off the more desired orange and red spaces and reduce the build rate while collecting a less desired green or yellow set for equivalent build cost after the flip is priced in. With the luck of a railroad pair or better you can ride that in a five or six player game. The number of players matters because a larger money supply opens up more development.

It would be helpful to explain that you can’t mortgage a property that has houses/hotel until you sell the aforementioned houses/hotel on that property

See how I play is I buy a bunch of the low costing properties or trade to get them then turn the beginning lane into capitalist hell as I just needed to cheaply buy some hotels.

The best reason to buy a green or dark blue property is so that you don't have to pay anyone when you land on it. Otherwise it makes such little money 😭

tried this in my last game. two opponents entered a bidding war to buy a pink off another player, ended up giving him $550 for States Avenue when no other pinks were owned. that same player proceeded to land on Park Place and Boardwalk and build hotels

Knowing my luck I will still lose
