You could do the soldering iron method (For Plastic bases only) if you don't want to drill the car. Heat the post and slowly put the base off the post. Be careful not the let the base hit the soldering iron, it will melt. Do the wheel swap and reverse the process to put the car back together. Personally I prefer to drill it open.

If you thought 3.50 at big lots was a lot for those vintage auto club cars was bad, at 7 eleven they are 6.00! go to big lots this weekend and they'll be 20% off.

It may take long, at first, but it's mainly for people that want to keep the original casting in tact. I've seen other people do this and it gets faster if you've done it several times. There are after-market wheels with an axle and pins specifically for this method.

Yea I’ve used the custom aftermarket crimp style axles before. They do not require drilling. However the tubing works fine. I don’t mind the drilling to not have to remove the rivets. I have done it tho. Used a self tapping button head screw in to the posts to replace the base. I’ll have to do this for the GTO for sure.

@@theFLORIDAman oh, no no, sorry, I was meaning for the other commentors to know that they existed and that how you were doing it was another method, so they didn't keep saying 'just take it apart'. Bc I've seen people using the same materials and it gets much faster if you keep doing it. Then they'd figure out that if they didn't want to open the cars that what you are showing is totally a viable method. It's how I would rather do it bc I'm afraid I world just destroy the car by drilling. I'm sure I'd slip and ruin the entire thing

i suggestion would be keeping the pin longer for the wheel, bend the pin a bit and insert into the axle. the friction will lock the wheel into the axle

Interesting approach. I just drill the car apart and adjust accordingly. Makes it easier ultimately. Some wheels just fit great, other time you gotta make axle tubes

Much easier to just drill out the rivets, swap the wheels, and clip and/or glue the car back together!

Are you talking about the key chain that has mo wheels porsche? Cvs near me has black,red and silver. I could try to see if still there. Was in there 3 days ago looking and passed on them. Not much movement of cars in that store it's off of the beaten path. Just won't be able to make it there till Sunday?

Hobby lobby in the section where the train stuff is.

I'm super bummed, I saw 3 or 4 Godzilla R33's a few months ago, but not seen one since. No idea why I didn't pick one up, they're only £1.30 from that store. I'm pretty sure I only picked up the white Drag civic instead (replacing those rear wheels is a bit of a challenge as they're smaller than normal) as a "I've survived a shopping trip out with the wife" prize. =D

The blue wheels from the Batman car swap with the Godzilla car So the Godzilla car with the blue tires looks good I think
