What better time, than now that it’s starting to get warm outside to make a video on how to wear graphic tees without looking immature, douchy, and plain dumb.
Today gents we are talking about the Do’s and Don’ts of wearing graphic tees.
1. I am a firm believer that the older we get the harder it becomes to pull off a graphic tee. I’m not saying that you can’t wear them at all, but the type of graphic really depends on your age.
• Gauge tees by age. The older you get the more careful you have to be when wearing a graphic tee. If you are above 35 or 40…. I would only use sport tees, or simple text tees or music bands. Just keep them SIMPLE
2. Speaking of BANDS: This goes for all ages!!!!! If you are wearing a graphic tee of a Band and you have no idea who the BAND is, then I’m sorry but YOU ARE A DOUCHE! The reason why you wear a bands tee in the first place is to tell everyone that you dig the BAND!!!!
• The Band tee will always have its place in FASHION but just get to know a little bit about the BAND or Artist.
3. Keep in mind that a Graphic especially with text can annoy or provoke a reaction. You can’t please everyone, just be cautious that you are saying or stating something.
4. AVOID offensive and childish graphic tees (if you are watching this, then you are smart enough to know what kind of graphics I’m talking about)
5. FIT: This is crucial like all things that we talk about in the channel. Even if it’s a graphic tee you have to know how to use it.
• Shouldn’t be too long or baggy
• Shouldn’t fit too tight where your love handles show.
• FRONT TUCK or NO TUCK AT ALL!
6. Make sure it’s good quality cotton and not too heavy. Otherwise it will look like a promotional tee. Avoid this brand of tee: Gildan they are Too Heavy.
7. Avoid heavy screen prints: They are cheap and will not hold up when you wash them.
