    Sorry, I know I'm commenting late, but I would say it's ok to use the sponge a couple of times before washing it, unless you're prone to break outs, then I'd say wash it every time

    These steps go for your face too. So many times I hear about people who tried cleansing oils and then say it didn't work for them or it broke them out or it left a film on their face and then when asked more they had no idea how to use their cleansing oil and didn't know how emulsifying is done!

    Sirah1981 lol, yes I come across this a lot as well. I've actually even made a video about how to use cleansing oils just so I can refer people to it when they ask. It's just such a fast and effective way to take of makeup!

    I'm kind of lazy about cleaning so took advantage of current Missha 40% sale and got 3 more of these pads for $1.80 each. Also bought the new oil to foam cleansers - not sure how they stack against the regular oil cleansers but there seems to be more of these oil emulsifying type cleansers than before in the Asian brands.

    bellesalvia That's a pretty good deal and frankly I probably would have stocked up too. Unfortunately we don't have a Missha store here plus the exchange rate is so bad that it's not worthwhile buying much at the moment :(

    gupkets If you're talking the very thick velour ones I'd use a foaming cleanser for that because you can rub and squeeze them without much worry. CC/BB Cushion sponges usually are delicate and can't handle the same type of rubbing so I find this works well.

    oh ok thanks very much. Just as I have a sleek luminous powder that came with the fluffy/furry one and i've just always wondered if or how to clean it without ruining it as it can't stay brown full of powder forever lol but I think suggesting a cleanser is probably better due to the texture it x x

    You can buy the Shu oil at most department stores (in Canada that would be The Bay, Holt Renfrew etc) or you can probably order online. However you dont have to use something so expensive, any water emulsifying cleansing oil will work, this one just happened to be what I had on hand.

    +evvy abba she said in the vid that essential oils do not emulsify hence not as effective as cleansing oil would be. i agree tho :) you can just grab biore's which is imo the cheapest cleansing oil ive found so far in the market

  • @WeekendsWithG

    @WeekendsWithG

    8 жыл бұрын

    +evvy abba Jojoba oil is a natural oil and it won't emusify so you'll have to use more soap to wash away the oil which defeats the whole purpose. I recommend just buying a cheap drugstore cleansing oil as long as it emulsifies well, it doesn't matter what brand it is.

  • @WeekendsWithG

    @WeekendsWithG

    +Zhey Kawaguchi Baby oil does not emulsify the way cleansing oils do so you'll have to use soap to wash out the baby oil and it's probably more work than what it's worth in my opinion.

    why can't we use a normal make up brush cleaner?

  • @WeekendsWithG

    @WeekendsWithG

    You could but most brush cleaners require you to do some kind of "scrubbing" to remove the makeup and from my experience it just doesn't seem to work as well for puffs like these. You want to be really delicate with these. Although, try the brush cleaner and let me know how it goes.
