Great video, customers are always asking me to do chrome delete as most local vinyl shops are doing crappy jobs. I usually tel them no... I might start considering it after I see how you disassemble the mirrors, that’s the most intimidating part

I will be doing my 3 in Avery Satin black soon. I’ve done the handles, the side turn signals, and the emblems so far. I can’t wait to see how you did the handles - especially doing the round point on the front part of the handles. I wish you would have done the emblems as well. I would love to see how you wrap them with the micro bevel they have. Mine look good, but up close the corners are coming up a little. Thank you for great content you always provide!!

How did it turn out?

Great video. Gave it my first attempt on the rear quarter panel earlier this week and didn't think to use IPA. in the future, I'm sure it's a pain, but it would be awesome to see some close up shots.

Thanks for the video, was going to plastidip mine as I wasn’t sure how much vinyl to use and actually didn’t know they made vinyl 2” x ___ I didn’t want to buy big sheets and waste it. This way will look much better than plastidip as well.

I've just chrome deleted on my Peugeot 2008, great video as always Chris.

Great channel, amazing work. I am considering doing the door handles on my M3 to match the pearl white. I have seen kits that go around or just surface, since you arent likely to recommend a kit, have you done the handles and do you wrap around them completely so the chrome doesnt show?

How do you avoid micro scratching the vinyl? I did my hood on a Stinger with Avery gloss black and its pretty bad when it comes to microscratches... how to you avoid/fix it after?

To avoid them make sure the surface is completely dust free. Then use a lubricant to wet the surface of the material or the buffer itself. Afterwards you can use hit water or a heat gun to self heal the remaining swirl marks

The videos you make are incredibly informative and helpful, my only criticism is that the quality is terrible. Having a high quality go-pro on your head or even better, a dedicated cameraman following you (your hands) with a high quality camera would make all your videos 10/10.

Model s top trim is single piece all the way to the rear quarter window tho :(
