HOW TO VACUUM YOUR POOL, EASY, CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE

Vacuum your above ground Intex or any other brand pool, using the existing filter system, without buying a delegate vacuuming unit. It's cheap, easy, and it works great.

    I have the exact same pool as you I actually bought the HTH hose I have everything electrical taped together but the hose is just not sucking the water to the pump is there any suggestion on how you got that hth tube to fill all the way up with water to the filter pump hose. It's like it's not getting a good enough suction to filter out. I got it to work for about 5 mins. Then stopped like if it had air.

    +gileadlane yes you would want to keep it on filter that way it returns the clean water back into the pool. The other two setting would let water drain out of the pool. You backwash after you vacuum

    I think I might have a better idea... Take the same essential setup but with smaller hose and attach it to the outflow side while keeping the bag attached. So... instead of having the garden hose stretched to the pool (Which I'm not fond of) the pressure will come from the pump AND you won't have all that garbage to deal with getting into your filter system. Whether sand, cartridge, or DE the less the better.

    If you have 2 inlet holes, you need to use the little hat thing to cap off the second hole. Unscrew the part inside the pool with all the filter holes and the cap fits right over where the water runs through. Screw the cap back on then. This will give you pressure from just the one hole your vacuum is connected to.

    I tried this exact procedure and for some reason, the other end of my vacuum hose wouldn't fit inside the white hose (The one velcroed to the frame). The inside diameter wasn't large enough for some reason. I'm using a larger pump (Intex 2650 GPH) and I think the hose is 1 1/2". Not sure why your is working and mine won't. I figured all the vacuum hoses were the same. It was a very close fit but not enough. Anyone know why it wouldn't work?

    @Casper Brown Thanks for your response! I'm not sure what you're saying and would like to have a better understanding. Are you talking about the screw on cover that looks like a grill? We have 2 of those except one of them is connected to a skimmer basket. When you remove the grey cover, it's a plastic blue piece that connects to the hose on the outside of the pool. The center of that piece is a grid type thing (for lack of a better word) preventing larger objects from passing, I'm guessing? My setup may be different from yours.

  • @cas46per

    @cas46per

    8 жыл бұрын

    I have the same pool as in the video. A 24' one. I can unscrew the grid looking intake cover off and insert the blue hose directly into the tube behind it and the suction hold it in. Then I put a hand weight on the end of the hose and lay it on the bottom center of the pool. It then collects all of the debris that collects in the center of the pool bottom overnight. Wish I had a pool skimmer but made one out of a tupperware tub and a pool noodle that also connects to the hose.
