    Great review! I'm curious as to whether you experienced any latency/lag. ie. If I'm vlogging and using the monitor to see how I'm coming across, I'm worried that any lag might be off-putting.

    Thank you so much that truly means a lot! That's a great question. I've actually been very impressed with this device in terms of latency. I'm sure there is a little bit but for me personally I haven't really noticed it at all when filming my videos. I hope that helps! Thanks again for reaching out and for watching the video. Very interesting review! I have 2 questions: is it possible to record the vidéo at the same time on the IPhone and in the caméra? How do you manage to start simultaneously the 2 devices (camera and IPhone): is there a link between the Start/Stop fonctions of the 2 devices? In Fact I would like to recover the gyrodata from the IPhone for a stabilization in post.

    Thank you so much! That's a great question. I truthfully don't know if you can start recording simultaneously. From my experience with the Seemo, there doesn't appear to be a way. However, You can record with your phone and the camera at the same time. I personally don't mind pressing record individually, but a link between the two devices to simultaneously start and stop recording would be pretty awesome. As long as there was a way to turn it off if I needed to. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for watching the video and for reaching out. It truly means a lot. Cheers!

    So glad I discovered this video and your channel! Really looking to get one of these. If I were storing the footage to the camera’s memory card, can it record in the exact camera’s settings? For example a slow 4k 120fps or a 6k 30fps?

    Thank you so much that truly means a lot! I'm glad the video could help! Yes absolutely, everything recorded to your memory card will still be in the settings and resolution you are filming in. However, at the moment, the SeeMo can only record onto your phone in 1080. But this works really well if you wanted to record a high quality image and post it to social media strait away. I hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help! Cheers!

    Another quick question - I've just purchased mine. I was wondering: to charge the battery, can you use the unit itself or does this require a NP-F battery charger?@@foxandcrowncreative

    Absolutely I'm happy to help! To my knowledge I don't believe you can. I only see an output charge for things like mics and small lights. But I've truthfully never tried to see if it will send a charge the opposite way. I've always just used my Sony NP-F battery charger. But the good news is that Amazon has some pretty affordable ones. Some chargers might even come with another battery, or visa versa.

    Have you figured out how to import LUTs? I am sure it is staring me in the face. What about a way to mute the phone speakers from within app, instead of having to hit the volume rockers on the phone? Great video. I just got mine today and I'm excited about it so far.

  • @foxandcrowncreative

    Hey Chris! I actually haven't had the chance to import my own LUTs yet but plan to very soon. I did find someone who imported his LUTs by emailing them to himself, then clicks on the one he wants and sends it to the SEE app from there. A little tedious but definitely the quickest solution I've found so far. For the speaker volume, I'm not sure there is a way to mute the iPhone from the app. But I've found that if I keep my phone on silent mode, it'll give a buzz and a small notification will pop up in the top left corner that I'm getting a phone call. I'll sometimes put it in do not disturb mode if i'm looking to block out all phone calls and notification while on set. I hope this helps! Thank you for reaching out and watching the video. I really appreciate it a lot. Cheers my friend!

  • @foxandcrowncreative

    @foxandcrowncreative

    7 ай бұрын

    Thank you for reaching out! Great question! The Seemo is powered by the Sony NP batteries and the device itself can’t be charged. Also, this device doesn’t charge the iPhone unfortunately. Which is a bummer. However, I have used the Seemo for many hours at a time and haven’t had to change the battery or charge my phone. But I think that would just depend on the version of iPhone you have and the size of the battery you have. It would also depend on how you would like to use it. For me personally, I love to use the Seemo for when I need a quick and convenient monitoring solution or when I want a lighter camera rig setup. But I most likely wouldn’t use it on a full day film shoot on my full camera rig because I wouldn’t be able to power it with a v-mount battery or something like that. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching the video, I appreciate it a lot. Cheers!

    Absolutely! The "SeeMo Cradle" that the iPhone rests in can only tilt back and forth. But when you turn your camera vertical your phone will turn vertical as well and that has worked really great for me. The SeeMo has actually been very useful when making vertical content because I'm able to see the footage on my phone as i'm shooting, giving me a much better idea of what the end product could look like. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for reaching out and for watching the video. Cheers!

    Hello, yes absolutely I'm happy to help! The SeeMo comes with really nice cables and adapters that you can use to connect the SeeMo to your iPhone 14. For the HDMI cable, it looks like the Nikon P1000, takes micro HDMI, so you would just need a micro to full HDMDI cable to go from the SeeMo to your camera. I love the coiled cables because they're really easy to tuck away. I've left a link to one that is very similar to one I bought a few years ago that I like to use when I'm using the SeeMo. I truthfully don't know a whole lot about the Nikon P1000, so I recommend double checking your camera to make sure that it takes micro HDMI. But whether you have micro, mini, or full HDMI, these coiled cables have always worked really well for me personally. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching the video and for reaching out. Thanks for reaching out! Absolutely, to be able to charge the Seemo from something like a V-Mount battery would be amazing. I've had the opportunity to use the Seemo on a few film shoots now and the Sony NP-F batteries have lasted throughout the day, so for me personally it hasn't been a huge inconvenience. I've looked into the Monitor+ app and it is definitely a really great app for sure! However, there are a few issues like the latency that would make me hesitant to use in on a film set. Especially when having a client or director's monitor setup, I personally need the image to be as clean as possible. I don't always use my iPhone as a monitor, I have dedicated monitors that I like to use, but when I do need to use my iPhone, with all of its features and at the price, the Seemo has been a solid choice. But with all of that said, both are great options! This is just want works best for me. Although, it might be fun to make a video comparing the two, along with a few other options available as well. Thanks again for reaching out! Cheers!
