I use the AHA/BHA exfoliating facial by The Ordinary. Tbh I’m not sure if it’s working. When I use it I feel the tingle and I apply aloe vera skin gel and The Ordinary moisturizer after. But I don’t know if it’s actually doing anything. It’s one of the steps in my skin care routine that I do in faith to slow down aging and prevent telltale signs of middle age skin.

Hello Deborah! We don't recommend this product for severe hyperpigmentation. Choose a gentle lactic acid exfoliating serum instead and don't use on the same day as retinol. We have lots of hyperpigmentation videos on our channel :) xx

I wouldn’t use this one, opt for the lactic acid 5% if you are dry or salicylic acid 2% if you are oily :) and only use 1-2x per week

I still remember how i brought the ordinary peeling solution i saw on internet but because of excitement or whatever i didn't read that it was supposed to be washed of after 30 min but i ended but using it 2 times a day i actually misunderstood it as a normal serum i couldn't see any visible results not even any breakout too lol buy because i was sad because of no good results i read the using method on it and found out using it too much can harm and all and i was like wtf maybe it was my luck but now whenever i buy something i always see its precautions and all and for that incident i am so thankful to my luck or my skin power whatever it was but yes i never purchased it again 😅

Hey for the peel, this is not recommend to use more than once a week, it is also not recommended for everyone. If you are not an advanced skincare user with experience with acids I would opt for the lower % lactic or salicylic serums. Otherwise introduce for only 5mins fortnightly and see how your skin reacts. Don’t over do it xx Also do not use both at the same time.

Yes most of them without acids. I wouldn’t use their SA cleanser at the same time as it also contains salicylic acid.

Yes you remove this product from the skin, it is not a leave on serum. Finish with moisturiser. You will use sunscreen the following morning in your morning routine x

No glycolic acid as you have already used an exfoliating acid. Just use the moisturiser. You skin is going to need 4-5 days break before you use any exfoliating serums/toners or retinol after using this peel

simply apply a small amount of the product to a small area of your face that's easily covered-such as the underside of your jaw, a corner of your forehead, or the side of your neck. There should be no other products on the skin so that you can properly test this product. Leave on the skin for 5mins and wash off, Wait around 48 hours to see if you have a reaction.

Hello there :) choose 1 or the other, you don't need both in the routine - way too exfoliating and can lead to skin damage. Or you can use the salicylic 2% twice a week and this 1 once a month as an intensive treatment. This is a peel and shouldn't be done more than once a week. Some people don't even need it once a week and use it monthly

I wouldn’t use this product unless you are advanced skincare user already with established routine and have used acids before. It is a peel so you need to ensure you have an strong skin barrier. I would recommend to start off just once a month, and only leave on the skin for 5mins. If you haven’t used exfoliating acids before, do not use this product. Opt for a lactic acid serum if you are dry or salicylic acid serum if you are oily instead xx

Hi. I use the Ordinary salicylic acid 2% solution and niacinamide and zinc then put on the moisturizer. I do this every second or third evening. Every other morning I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid on wet skin and then put on Eucerin sunscreen for oily skin. I noticed that my skin is softer and I have less blackheads (there are many of them, but now less than before). However, I don't see an improvement on small dented acne scars. What can I do about that? Which other product to use? Could AHA acids help? I have been doing this for 7 months more or less. Cheers.

Hey :) yes acne scarring like yours is very deep within the skin. You can also incorporate retinol into your routine, that can help. You will most likely need professional skin treatments for this - a series of micro needling treatments done by a professional is what I would recommend

You will be better off using a salicylic acid toner daily, and a cream targeted to keratosis pilaris. This is not a peel to use daily - keratosis pilaris needs ongoing maintenance we have a whole video on it on our channel :)

@@annacopeland2641 This product is removed from the skin - it is not a leave on serum. It is left on as a mask for no longer than 10mins and then rinsed off :) Since you do not use this product often, you can just apply moisturiser after. If you must use niacinamide, you can as the AHA/BHA has been fully removed from the skin prior to the niacinamide being applied. Hope that answers your question

Yes you could use a cleanser with SA in it. You can also treat your chest and back as you would your face for breakouts :) so moisturise with a non cosmogenic moisturiser too. Do you know why you get breakouts in these areas? Do you exercise frequent?

@@tammymitsch7210 if you work out frequently, try showering straight after a workout (if you are able to). Using a body wash with tea tree in it to can help as it is antibacterial or use a cleanser with SA in it. If your mum had it too, it will be something you just need to manage ongoing. Also avoid any heavy body creams or body sunscreens that can clog your pores.

It should be fine if it's in a moisturiser, often it's only a small %. Try it and if your skin is sensitive afterwards - applying a hydrating moisturiser instead. The peeling solution would only be used occassionally anyways x

Use sunscreen at 17. By 20 start a preventative skincare regimen. If you notice wrinkles by 25 then begin your anti aging regimen.

Nooo do not leave it on that long. We state this in the video, no longer than 10mins and we only recommend this peel for advanced skincare users. Otherwise opt for a leave on exfoliating serum like their lactic acid 5% if you’re dry or salicylic acid serum if you are oily

I leave this on for 20 minutes 😂 it didn’t really change much

Oh no! Definitely don’t use. Focus on clearing your skin and work at repairing your skin barrier. Then introduce another gentle chemical exfoliant, this is more like a peel, is strong, not recommended for everyone x
