I realized I hadn't commented here yet, and since I just recommended this tutorial AGAIN, figured I should make a point of thanking you for this really great walkthrough. I agree that this isn't going to be replacing dedicated 3D workflows, but it certainly has its place. For the right looks, the flexibility of being able to do this directly in AE will absolutely outweigh the visual limits. Love that you outlined the process of importing a multi-piece model so it can actually be *animated* in AE. There are of course limits here, too, but for the kinds of things people will mostly be doing in this workflow, this is going to serve a lot of those needs well enough. Thanks, Eran!

Nice one, I actually love Elementr 3D, but after Redshift, no way to use AE for 3d. BUT I like that you get the final look! While in 3d you render, composite and...sometimes the final look tweak is too much to handle...

Great walkthrough. Thank you! I'm looking for a way to dynamically change colors/textures of an object inside AE. Can this be done, or am I still bound to Element3D for this? I need to be able to map text onto the object, preferably by mapping a comp onto a texture layer.

Thanks for the feedback! Replacing textures is not possible yet, but Adobe will continue developing this and I believe it's on their road map. Please submit your feedback in the beta forum

Awesome video! I have problems when exporting tho, I just see transparency and a black vidoe exports. I animated a 3d model but don't know how to export. Can you please tell me how is it?

It should work if you're on 24.1 or higher, if it doesn't please contact Adobe support

When I set up a whole scene with different 3D objects and the environmental light, there are some shadows, but I don't know where they `re coming from. For instance I need a table to cast a shadow on the floor and the wall. It doesn't work, no matter how I set up the light. Is there any trick or something I missed?

Try a different hdr image as a source for the light and play with X & Y Rotation

Cinema - NOOO! how i can imported my 3d scene created in stager to cinema or blender with lights/cameras and materials ?! ) i see Ae its posible but others - No. WHY? its so simple to doing great design... but we all have a dancing with it
