The first time I was tested a year later, they tested like the young lady in the video. I'm getting ready to do my at home test and have downloaded this video.

Right! Lol! I've been terrified to take these type of self testing kits but now I HAVE to as I'm traveling to Italy in Sept which I know traveling back to the U.S. requires a negative test. I know these specific tests aren't valid for int'l travel though. I just ordered these tests for free to practice and test my self..lol!

I needed to also test my special needs child who will always fight anything placed on her. But after watching the video, she was very willing to try. We watched it as we tested, laughing with the great gal demonstrating it, it was great. Very easy to follow. Thanks for the video

my nephew terrible with shots he has sometimes be restrained and he kicks really hard. he will be five in june he don't flinch from these short nostril only swabs. i mean kids that age tend to pick their noses and goes in about as far as small finger. no way i could do the deep swab due to ptsd issues stemming from childhood one thing i am a bleeder. older like 8 and up can be taught to swab themselves glad it don't hurt. i had a test in er for admmitance in 2020 not sick but and it was negative it was anterior nare swab basically like antigen style but the nurse swabs and i think actually wa PCR as i had wait 72hrs for results. special needs hmm some places test using saliva kids love to spit. i couldn't produce saliva for pre procedure tests because i have for years have severe chronic cotton mouth syndrome,, i was handed a swab for just one nostril and go in half inch. if your child can spit try asking clinics around if they use saliva testing i hear it is quite good method for accuracy i am going on 40 if someone came near me with a deep nasal swab i would be flipping out, i have anxiety when go to the EN't and told him if you want do nasal endoscopy gonna have give me some kind of sedative like dilaudid or fentanyl in iv. there no fasting requirement and both work in minutes i slept for 3 half hours when given fentanyl in er in 2017 for c.diff abdominal pain that i couldn't stop crying all hurt too because i also had severe case or bronchitis even hospitalized for it. this virus way more worse than a small swab test. it's fun having laryngitis and last time i had that was last year when i went for upper/lower endoscopies and didn't know til then that i would be required to have general anesthesia meaning needed to be endo reached. gave me four day cough sore throat i legit couldn't talk i had use dry erase marker and board to tell nurse i needed a popsicle and when think i be discharged and if my mother my ride has been called. anytime i have general i have side effects. i didn't have too much issue in waking in recovery room. i think instructions for covid have to much in them when the test basically to perform it set up and swab takes maybe 3 to 5 minutes

After downloading the written instructions and 22 pages came up I immediately exited from that file I wasn't about to sit here and read 22 pages on how to take a home COVID test. Why does everything have to be so complicated ⁉️ I thought technology was supposed to make our lives more simple. I bought a Brita water pitcher and it contained seven or eight pages of instructions I never read them I never used the pitcher. I received the home colonoscopy test it also had a booklet of about half inch thick I never read it I never opened it I never used the test. So now I find this 4 minute simple video on how to use the home COVID test and it was an excellent teaching resource thank you. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

This antigen test is not usually accepted for work/travel requirements; definitely not accepted for domestic air travel for example. It's designed to give information to stay away from others if positive and take further action. Even if the first test is negative, you need an additional test within a day or two to be (more) sure - antigen tests are not 100% accurate. It takes a lot of virus on the swab to get closer to being accurate hence, two tests within a couple days on the premise that if infected there's more virus to test for the second time. A PCR test is the most accurate so you use antigen tests to help determine a course of action. Your employer should be able to tell you what to do. You should be able to report your results of BOTH tests to your employer so they can advise you what to do. Again, one test is not enough which is why they package two in the box!

Absolutely useful and helpful comment. The at home rapid test kits give a window of knowledge before going off to mix with elderly or vulnerable family and friends, and peace of mind during allergy season (symptoms of which can feel like what we're told to watch out for for covid.) A really useful and helpful test but not acceptable or appropriate to all circumstances.

Thanks and I agree with your comment. I have symptoms of COVID after not getting it over the last 2 years... unless I got it without symptoms, anyway, I took the at home kit and it came back negative after 3 days of having symptoms. I might just be getting the very early symptoms so I plan to test again in 2 days and keep going from there. We'll see how it goes. Be sure to get the free 8 test kits that are sent out from USPS that way you have plenty to play around with.

This is a wonderfully made instructional video. I wish I had came here first when I did my first test. The instructions that come in the kit make you paranoid right away that you're probably going to screw up and not get a proper sample/test result, and are overly complicated as written as a result.

Seems very simple and the video shows this well. NO NEED to download the app. The box states this repeatedly but it this video shows that the app is not necessary. If they want the app so they could collect data about their product, they should state this.

So, if your test results are no longer valid after 15 minutes, how would you use this to prove your negative for work or other mandated requirements?

I just heard that part in the video and you ask a very pertinent question, not to me but to others. Somehow the logic here flew out the window in regards to the 15 minutes and it's invalid situation. Very strange.

This is a common limitation that is shared with other antigen tests. Best thing to do is to take a photo or use the optional iHealth Pass app if your employer accepts digital proof. You can also test in person at the employer if they have an area (such as an outdoor parking lot) for you to do so that wouldn't potentially expose others.

These aren’t those types of tests unless you are doing it on site with someone. These are for your own knowledge so you can follow up with a doctor and monitor your symptoms and contacts.

One more question before I purchase, reading the reviews on Amazon it seems the common problem is some of the vials have no solution or missing other parts so the question is what is the process of getting a new kit or refund if necessary
