Hello, does this record in stereo through the input jack? I'm planning to buy this to record directly from the stereo line output of my digital piano. Thanks!

As i remember if the stereo source is directly connected to the recorder by a cable, it should record stereo. And if the microphone that we plug in is stereo, the record will be stereo too. But i can record a stereo movie from pc via cable and listen it from a head set to assure. So this evening i will tell you the result.

I connect telephone to the voice recorder via cable. Anda recorded the music from this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIiLrMN_dJm4YtY.html And it works, get the stereo sound as how it plays. Thank you. And It depends on which type of batteries would you like to use in it. But if you will use rechargeable batteries in it, you will need to charge them separetely in a charging device.

Hey Dost, beautifully done video. I have a question about something you haven't covered in the video, though. Would it be possible for you to connect this to your computer to use it as a usb microphone? Do you think that applications such as skype, discord, or microsoft teams would show this recorder up as an audio source for when you would have to do meetings on these apps? Computer detects the device as an external memory. But i haven't seen such a use. Actually i also afraid to use it as a microphone in case short circuit. If we connect PX240 from the audio jack to the computer, you can record all the internal voices beautifully. These are the specs that i know about it.

Otomatik algılıyor. Mikrofonu takar takmaz. Kullanım klavuzunda enstrümanlardan ya da radyo, pikap gibi cihazlardan ses kayıt için de kullanılıyordu bu ses kayıt cihazı, ama bu konuda hiç bir tecrübem yok. Denemediğim, ilgilenmediğim bir konu... Ama araştıracağım. RCA to Mini Jack kablom olacaktı yanlış hatırlamıyorsam. Bulup deneyeyim. Ya da mini jack to mini jack kablo ile de ses kaydetmeyi deneyebilirim. Aynı şey sayılır sanırım. Size buradan yazacağım sonucu. Merak ettim :)

Bugün denedim. Dijital ses kaynaklarını da kablo ile mikrofon girişine bağlayarak ses alabiliyorum. RCA kablo ile de çalıştı. Mini jack'ten mini jack'e de çalıştı...

Audio and comments recording, and mix with the recorded video. So I ordered this Sony Audio Recorder. (used for $ 28,-) - because of your video. It is Sony quality and many functions - not cheap China Gadget. Greetings from sw germany (middle europe).

Can it adjust volume gain by itself? I need it to work alone with minimum fiddling. Zoom H1 does an amazing job with their auto-gain.

It definetely adjust the gain by itself properly. I don't have to amplfy and don't need to try to get distortion on post processing. This cheap device really do excellent job too.

hi my question is that this recorder has the ability of listening and recording simultaneously? i mean if we use a headphone and a microphone can we hear how is the voice is recording live? or just we have to wait the file record ends and then listen to the result?

Does that sony record in a 48hz sample rate? Otherwise you'd have to resample the sony audio recordering and stretch to match your video for syncing.

MP3 192 kbps super hq mode. And i don't need strecthing the audio or sth else. Just syncronizing is enough for my 4k 10 bit videos. from zv-e10 in 4k 24p. I didn't have a problem with sony a6000 full hd videos either. SHQ: 75 Hz - 15,000 Hz MP3 Bit rate: 32 kbps - 320 kbps (Supports variable bit rate (VBR)) Sampling frequencies: 16/22.05/24/32/44.1/48 kHz File extension: .mp3

I bought this voice recorder and used it to record my landlord who was lying out her teeth concerning me. The recording does not tell lies. Unfortunately the company that has hired her doesn't want to hear evidence. However if I lose my apartment because of a lying landlord, there will be a lawsuit, because I have proof that I am innocent. This is what a voice recorder is good for besides taking notes. I usually things in college extensively. They are a godsend and a necessity for any serious student.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. My mom also uses it in VOR mode to show us Alzheimer dad is giving her some hard times during the day. Recording doesn't make my dad ashame about what he said. Just it makes us sad about the situation.

Thank you. If you plug in a dynamic microphone to the recorder, result will be much better. Or you may plug a wireless receiver and a mic with transmitter. But anyway, better if you plug in a dynamic mic to the recorder.

Some recorders hold button is broken. It stucks always on hold. You have to open up the recorder and fix it from inside. I heard so.

The most frequent problem is one button gets stuck in to the body part of the recorder. Check each button one by one. May be you'll feel the button with problem. Generally the problem is with on/off button. Open the body part of the receiever, if you can. Then reach the insider button on board. May be this way you'll turn it on. I heard that some people do such things about this kind of problem.

Daha profesyonel cihazlarda gain'i kısabiliyoruz da (zoom h5, h6gibi), bu cihazda ne yapmak gerekiyor idi hatırlamıyorum. Filtrelere bakmam lazım.

Yes you can. Just u should connect a cable between your phone's headset output and recorder's microphone input. That's it.

Hey, Nice review. I think it sounded good with the LAV mic. I hope you can help me, as Google and the manual were no help. I've plugged an external Rode LAV mic in, but I am getting no sound? It seems (according to KZread) I may need an adaptor to get the Rode LAV mic to work with the Sony ICD-PX240? There's nothing about this in the manual? I'm just getting no sound output at all when I play it back? I've adjusted sensitivity, put it on SHQ and the L function which appears to be closeup for voice, as well as N-CUT. The recording/audio quality is too poor to use it without an external mic. Assistance appreciated. Thank you 🙏

May be you plug the microphone jack into the head set socket. Only if i plug it into the wrong socket, that kind of issue i face with. Oh! Also which microphone works ok with my cell phone are not working well with the voice recorder and vice versa. Only which mic works ok with pc is getting along with the ic recorder

@@ayhancapan thanks. Looks like it's TRRS when what I need is TRS. They look identical, except one has 3 lines and the other has 2 lines. Rode sell the adapter for £15. No mention from Sony, or Rode in their instructions.

İnsan kulağı ses alıyor ise bu cihaz da alıyor sesi. Hatta bizim duymadığımız sesleri de alabiliyor. Ve net bir şekilde duyuluyor, Güçlü bir ses kayıt cihazı. Ama dip ses olacaktır her zaman. Frequency high seçerseniz daha düşük ve yüksek sesleri de alıyor hatta. Ama dip ses birazcık daha artıyor. Türkçe alt yazı eklemeye çalışacağım.

Unfortunately you can't. It has some its own levels. That's it. And low cut filter option it has, which reduces the background noises automatically,

Is it possible to erase /delete a small section of an audio file. Say you have a 5 minute recording, but you want to delete a section say from 2 minutes to 2 minutes 30. Is this possible? And for the rest of the recording to be one file. I don't want to create 2 files , one before the deleted section and the other after the deleted section

Generally students use it for college lectures and then sell it for cheap price. My recorder is second hand and works great. Thank you Linux & other staff for your comment. Do not hesitate any to have this. Voice syncronisation takes just 2 seconds with video editors.

When you connect the cable to your computer's usb port. Folders should have been opened automatically. You'll find your voice records in folder A. Just copy and paste to your computer.

Strange, probably you have tried to open the folder manually. I suggest you to try it on a different computer. Probably your software doesn't recognise the device?

I think pause button is stuck. Or another button. Check all the buttons are responding or not. Probably one of the button is stuck or out of order.

Honestly i don't know. I've never seen the end. If you can turn it on, It means that it can record. But after i use it on the last digit like an hour, i replace the batteries.

Try different sd card

for me it keeps saying slide hold switch to activate pls help

If nothing changes when you pull the switch down, then that button is broken probably.

how is this to record voices in a room or outdoors? I am an actor/singer and i'd like to record live voice, yet I am not sure if get one of this portable or a panoramic.

This recorder has a mono in body microphone. It records from far, such as 5 meters, well enough. When you plug in a stereo microphone to this recorder it will record stereo probably. Lavalier and other microphones works perfectly with this recorder, everything is fine with it. Outdoor especially, low cut filter works amazing,which reduces the ambiant voices and increase the human voice.

Yeah go for it. You'll never regret... I use it all the time, just because my camera and telephone can never record that much well

I cant seem to set the date??

Why do many review's for audio recorders test an external mic instead of the built-in one? Is it just that crappy and weak that a $5 mic is better? I'm looking for one that is capable of recording voices in room's with tons of humming from machinery

But in this review I've also tested the body microphone. And it's really better than most of the other external microphones.

please i erased an audio voice by accident , how can i recover it ? :(

There are some disk recovery programs. When your voice recorder is connected to computer, show the directory of your voice recorder to the program. And then program will recover your recent files. You need to find the correct recovery program for your pc's operating system. Be sure one of the recovery program will recover your files back.

Try some different online disk recovery tools such as this one www.minitool.com/data-recovery/data-recovery-online-free.html But try to find freeware. One of them will solve your problem i hope. I don't know what else to do.

Set the DPC (Digital Pitch Control) setting to “OFF,” or change the playback speed to normal.

Probably you are in wrong folder if you can not find your recordings.
