The thing is that for sawgrass printer be albe tu use easysubli htv your ink must be easysubli ink. Thats why the sawgrass printer asks what type of ink is going to be used. It you choose sublijet ink (most common used ink) you cant use easysubli htv directly in the printer.

Thank you very much for this as this was very informational. One thing I noticed is that if I have one whole image there is no need to use a mask so does that mean I do not have to mirror the image? Or do I still mirror and just remove image from the original backing?

You print with sublimation dye into the paper, the paper is a HTV. It's quite durable but hot during summer. If you live in a cold country it's not going to be a problem.

Could you print this on a dark purple, red or black shirt or do they still need to be lighter colors?

I can’t speak to how long it lasts because I’ve only just done it. But the feel is no different. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would think so. Most are cotton poly blends. The ink is really made for poly. the paper is helping it adhere to the cotton.

Hi I have a ecotank 3760 and cosmos ink and a comeo 4 can I still use this paper?? And everything come out great???

It is a good video but I tried it and used the cutting settings recommended by Siser and it cut all the way through the vinyl and carrier plastic then as I was weeding the smaller pieces would not stay on the plastic because of it not having any tackiness to it. I applied the mask and burnished it down as usual and went to remove the plastic backing which took about 10 mins because it did not want to release from the mask. After all of that I pressed it on the heat press using the 311 for 15 secs to only have it print just a part of my design to the fabric. I'm happy for those of you who can make it work but I will not attempt it again.

when setting up my Smart folder I have the option for Automatically and Archive files for number of days: What number would I put in there? I do not have the option to just click on it.

so this will work with both a sublimation printer and a regular ink printer?

What makes this different than printable htv?

I see your questions are several months old on here. The Sawgrass printer is a sublimation printer. I have an Epson printer that I bought new and converted it to a sublimation printer. There are lots of videos out there on how to do this. In order to do what she is demonstrating in the video...you need to use sublimation ink...not inkjet. You can buy Epson printers that are only sublimation printers or you can convert Epson EcoTank printers to use sublimation ink. That is the key to doing this technique! The reason for using Siser Easy Subli paper is to print with sublimation ink and press it onto 100% cotton. Hope this makes sense. You cannot use a laser printer or an ordinary inkjet printer.

Wonderful video. So helpful. Thank you. But, the image is printing out with bleeding throughout the design and I don’t have the bleed on in design space. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Please help.

Thanks for walking me through this. I tried it. I was able to print straight from Cricut Design Space and then cut on my Maker. I’m not sure if the colors are as vibrant as they could be. I wasn’t able to make any adjustments like selecting Vivid or type of material. Any suggestions? I appreciate your help.

If you send your print to print from the Sawgrass print manager, it will give you the vivid choice there

At the end you made a comment about the ink you used. As long as you have sublimation ink… this will work?

How soft is the finished transfer? Anything I've used is always very rigid

The ink is sublimated to the surface, but to me it feels like a DTF image rather than the true sublimation.

Is this process compatible with Brother Scan n Cut which is what I use. TY

You can let it sit - you just have to allow the ink to dry sufficiently so that it doesn't smear when you cut it

I am new to this. Can you explain why you need to cut everything out? Would it not just press the ink and not the rest of the paper?

I let my design cure under the press for a minute as suggested. When I peel my mask off after the 15” press, color was on the mask. I noticed it is not on yours? What did I do wrong?

What do you do if your image is 10.5 x 5 but your printer can only cut 8.5 x 11?

I can not weed my easysubli, it's as if vinyl has melted to the backing. I printed directly on the easysubli & put it under the heat press (did not close the press) What am I doing wrong?

I’ve seen many designs like this on Etsy.

Did you print with a regular printer or sublimation printer? Cant find where you said that.

Is this paper different than the one you can regularly use with the sublimation printer? I thought one of the purpose of sublimation is that eliminates the need of cutting and weeding too. Ive been having a hard time printing and cutting heat transfer sheet with cricut some detailed designs I had, so I wanted to get away from it by using sublimation. But now I see you still have to run it through the cricut machine….

Can i print with normal dye ink?

I’m just curious, why is this process called sublimation when it’s just using printed heat transfer vinyl? I thought sublimation was when the dye or ink is transferred to the garment.

The dye is sublimated into the easy subli sheet. Easy subli is then heat pressed onto a cotton shirt. If you want the ink sublimated into the garment, you need to use a 100% polyester shirt, or at least a 65% poly blend.

With Epson when it comes to Easy Subli you may need to sublimate on it as if it were HTV. Sometimes the Easy Subli will get jammed in the printer if you try to print directly on it.
