I absolutely love your tutorials! I first started watching the cricut ones, but I'm so glad I watched this one, as I want to give myself a variety for printing styles for my designs

Upon seeing this video, I was very critical and thought there are hundreds of videos like this out there. Why do I need to watch this one? I am so glad I watched this video. I didn’t know how to load my printer and I have an Epson with the top feed. And I didn’t know I could just cut it out and not have to use my cricket which I am brand new and don’t even know how to use yet. I give this video two thumbs up.

Looks nice there's a new brand of vinyl I need to try!

I am SO OBSESSED with making it my goal to get a @starcraftvinyl SOLO cutting machine. It has to be the most awesome cutting machine I have ever seen!! Apparently, the software is absolutely awesome as well! Here's to hoping my 'someday' goal of getting myself a StarCraft Solo will be SOONer rather than LATEr! It's all Mr. Crafty Pants' fault for showing it so much in his tutorials!! I have been rrsearching it since I first seen him use a SOLO!! lol I cant wait to get my SOLO!

If you wash in cold water, avoid bleach & fabric softener, and hang dry, it should last as long as the shirt itself. 😊

What kind of material do you need for this kind of type of papers did the shirt have to be 100% cotton or I had to be 100% polyester I hope that you can answer me that question I really appreciate you doing the tutorial so thank you so much for helping me 🤗🌹🦋

I’ve never run into this issue before, but when trying to download the file first there is no preview and then it tells me it 112M and too large to scan for virus. Is this file actually 112M ?

Thanks for the tutorial! I’ve used another brand of printable vinyl I’ll to get the StarCraft one for my next purchase. Also, mask is this is the 1st tutorial I’ve seen that mentions using a “mask” for those pesky little pieces; I used a design that had some which I removed-didn’t want to add a background because it looked so silly and weeding/placing a them was tedious. Is it standard transfer tape?

Great question! A heat transfer mask is not transfer tape, but instead a form of a sticky carrier sheet that can be used with heat. You can purchase heat transfer masks from various retailers or you could also reuse the sticky carrier sheet from HTV if you’d like. 😊

He is using a regular ink jet printer. It's not sublimation ink.

I understand that we should avoid fabric softeners, but can we use vinegar when wash instead of fabric softener?

That’s a great question! Vinegar should be okay, but you may want to do a small test run with it first. 😊

Hi, to be able to print HTV, does the printer has to be inkjet and do I need a different type of ink or can I use the ink it brings with the printer? Because I would just like to use my printer how I normally use it to print and just buy the HTV paper just like that but, I’m wondering if it will work once I try to use a heat press, would the image automatically transfer to anything like shirts or anything else?

No you will need sublimation ink and you need to check your printer is compatible.

You can absolutely use a Cricut EasyPress, just make sure you’re applying adequate pressure for the type of material. Extra firm pressure for the Heat Transfers for light materials and medium to firm pressure for the Heat Transfers for dark materials. Hope that helps! 😊

Does the sublimation process work on either of these transfers?

That’s a good question! We haven’t tried sublimating on these materials, but that sounds like something Mr. Crafty Pants would love to try. 😊 You can always print directly on them with inkjet printer ink if not.

what would happen if I used sublimation ink on the dark transfer paper? LOL asking because I am not patient enough to wait for an order of the paper to get here. :) ( I would of course use it on a poly/cotton if not poly shirt.)

Our Heat Transfers for Dark Materials have not been tested with sublimation ink, but they work as is in any inkjet printer with inkjet ink. 😊 Hope that helps!

Hi!!! My problem with using this was when i had several pieces and it wasn't just one solid design. It made for peeling and placing it down in my shirt. AWFUL. i didn't even think of a heat transfer sheet! Do you know if I'm able to use an old one or do you buy them new from somewhere?? Thank you in advance! (Hi Michael!!! 💕)

As long as the heat transfer mask is still relatively clean and sticky enough then you can definitely use it. You can also reuse the sticky carrier sheets from HTV. 😊

This actually isn’t DTF paper at all. These are printable Heat Transfers and you just print on them with regular inkjet ink from your inkjet printer. 😊 Hope that helps!

The Printable Heat Transfers can’t be layered directly on top of other types of HTV, but you could always slice the shape of the design you’re using on the Printable Heat Transfer out of the design you’re wanting for HTV. Doing it that way will give you the appearance that they’re directly layered on top of each other, but in reality, the Printable Heat Transfer is coming in direct contact with the fabric and not the HTV. 😊
