Great video. The process is very similar on a Windows PC. I am not a Mac guy, but wanted to point out that if you are using a mouse, holding down Ctrl while using the scroll wheel does a zoom on the pattern when in "move" mode.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to try that 😊
Thanks for sharing about pattern keeper. I have been interested in it but have not looked into it fully. I will check it out now and see about getting it on my laptop.
You are amazing to have work all that out . I know this video is 11 months old and I just you and nearly fell out of the chair , as I have been asking lots of ( smart people ) and they don't no what I'm trying to do. Now I know what to do. I can't thank you enough for the information I will be saving money.
Thank you so much. This is a game changer for me. I SOOOOOO appreciate it. have a great day.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I have an Android tablet, but it's old and doesn't stay charging very well. I've been trying to get this to work though an emulator on my laptop before, but could not figure it out. This definitely helped and it's working perfectly.
Finally🎉🎉🎉 Thanks❤
Thank you. I wondered if doing it on my laptop would work.
I recently found your channel. I started watching from the beginning and found I enjoyed it. On episode 15 you were working on the blue crocheted blanket. I am hoping you will share the pattern, I love the blanket. Thanks, Elaine

Hi Elaine! Thanks for stopping by! The pattern for the crochet blanket should be in the description box of every video where I talk about it 😊
Hi thanks, Have it numbers and Letters symbols?
Thank you I also use my laptop for pattern keeper. Great tutorial! The Create picture on your wall, is that cross stitched? If so where did you get the pattern?

Thanks! The Create piece is a cross stitch pattern from Caterpillar Cross Stitch called Made to Create 😊
Hi! Do caterpillar cross stitch patterns work with pattern keeper? Do their kits come with pdfs? Thanks!

Caterpillar Cross Stitch does sell their kits with PDF charts. They are not pattern keeper compatible however I have managed to play around with the advanced options to get it to work. Pattern Keeper won't read the individual symbols, but it will load it so that you can still mark off stitches.
Can you run this on an Ipad?
Do you know if this would work on a Chrome Book?

I'm not quite familiar with the Chrome Book, but it looks like it runs a special OS called ChromeOS. According to google, it looks like you can run some android apps without an emulator. I would give it a try and see what happens!
Great alternative, but, I'm really not sure about the big fuss over Pattern Keeper. Seems to me that there is quite a bit of time and energy being put toward tracking the process vs stitching. Seems like it could be just as easy losing your place by focusing your attention in a third direction.

I use pattern keeper and also paper patterns. I find there is not a huge amount of difference in keeping track of my progress with a pencil & paper or the touch screen. I like the app cos you can zoom in or out as much as you like and keep track of parked stitches when you walk away. It takes a few minutes to get the pattern loaded into the app but it's still faster than printing or photocopying another paper copy of a pattern to mark. the app also keeps track of how many stitches are left for each colour, which I like because when I finish a colour, I will put it back in my stash instead of leaving it in my project bag.
