    this took me from a C+ to an A- in med school, i stopped using anki and classic note taking, it’s like 90% of the questions i’ve made on notion ended up being on my exam.

    Thank you this was so helpful!!! I have one question with Toggle function in Notion. When I am writing my notes and I create a toggle I have to click in order to put the answer in that toggle. I would be way faster if I didn't have to click and I could use a short key (such as enter, but that gives me a new toggle) any suggestions? Thank you!!!

  • @daniellangewisch

    @daniellangewisch

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for kind words, Stephanie! I believe what you will want to do is after inserting the toggle and labeling it, hit Command+Alt+T (Command+Option+T on Mac) to open the toggle, and then when you hit enter, it will go inside of the open toggle on the next row. Hope that helps!

  • @daniellangewisch

    @daniellangewisch

    I just realized that another solution is to hit enter after creating the toggle, and then hit tab to put the toggle within the first toggle. You can then hit backspace once and you will have a text block within the first toggle.

    In Notion you can also use the database board view and drag and drop each question/fact between columns (easy/unsure/hard)

    What do you think about summarizing the textbook material before starting with active recall, i have to study like 120 pages, do you think it's a waste of time?

  • @daniellangewisch

    @daniellangewisch

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Max! Thanks for checking out the video. First, I think there is no one “right” method. Each person has to do what fits their learning style best. That being said, I find that as I go through a textbook, rather then summarizing the information, I turn the information into these active recall questions as I go. So, when I am reviewing my notes, I am not just passively reading the answers, but I am quizzing myself with each question I wrote for the information. Ultimately, it’s up to you. Hope that helps! 😃
