OMG! I just had a moment of complete clarity!!! I'm a self-taught nail enthusiast... I don't work on any strangers yet but I do my own nails very frequently and I wear them super long. Something has always seemed slightly off though and I could not figure it out for the life of me! No matter how straight the form is or how good it fits, my shapes always come out slightly wonky and kind of fat on the sides of the stress area no matter how much I filed it. Now I know why! I had no idea the form had to be tilted up or down and I did not think that extra little piece of paper would bulk out my shapes. I am beyond happy right now... You are a lifesaver thank you so so much! I've watched a million nail videos and never heard anyone else mention these!❤❤❤❤❤

I read your comment and I swear it’s like I wrote it. I just do my nails and my 2 daughters. I’m self taught and wear mine in a longer coffin or sniped stiletto shape. I have had my nails done for more than 30 years with acrylic. I have NEVER been without nails, never. I absolutely love this video. I love how this young lady teaches. I was glued to every word she said. Definitely one of my favorite videos yet. I use tips only because I struggle with the forms. Now, I have to try forms again. I’m so excited. Thank You for a great video!❤️

11 years in the industry, having watch many, many tutorials on forming, this is the absolute best video I’ve ever watch. I cannot wait to get to work tomorrow and try these techniques. I had given up on sculpting even though I prefer this method and hate using tips. WOOP, WOOP sir excited. Thank you x💜🇬🇧

Just bought nail forms and new curing machine and waiting for it to come. I’ve done tips for a long time and got frustrated in the past using those gold school forms when I was in hairstyling school and given up on forms. We were taught to roll the form and squeeze the tip before putting on. You are the most detailed nail artist on anything on your Chanel. I’ve watched this video like 3 times maybe more. The bone alignment I never new and bird beek I’ve done many times. I’ve always tried to align the side walls instead of concentrating on the centre line. I’m going to try to design a Kitten Nail which is my favourite nail shape. I thank you for this very educational video. God bless you dear lady.🙏🏻

Tracy U hi! Well since it was my very first time issuing any kind of gel for extensions it was hard. But I bought ORLY’s Builder bottle off amazon and it was pretty runny. I think maybe cause my room was warm but I think it was beginner friendly. I think if you wanna try it, go for the brand The Gel Bottle because it’s got more applications per bottle ,100 or so. ORLY builder bottle only has 16!

I'm completely learning how to do my own nails on KZread, and I started with forms because I like to learn the hard stuff first. I've done tips once, but I don't know if I'll ever bother with those again. Forms are so much better even with my wacky wonky fingers and I'm not even close to perfect at it yet. BUT I really wish I had seen this video two days ago before I put my extensions on 😂😂 but thank you Liz! I've seen people cut those little kitten notches before but it never made any sense to me. Now I understand WHY and also realize that I need to be doing that on a couple of my nails. Can't wait for your next video!

I have been doing nails professionally for over 20 years, I have always preferred forms (actually I haven’t used tips in probably 18 years), but having never been actually taught any of these basics, I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent trying to reinvent the wheel and figure out “if I angle then pinch, pinch then angle... this girl leaves the back closed, should I do that? Why does she do that? Etc.... “ I swear my husband must think I’m crazy! To see it all explained so perfectly, it’s like the light has been shone, girl! Thank you so much for what you do! Omg what an amazing video! When I was learning sculpting, I was given re-usable forms (plastic covered with metal down the sides so they can be bent into shape) and they were awful! I broke all 10 in the first week! I bought myself paper ones from then on! My teaching never taught me how to fit forms or anything!! I learned everything I know from watching other techs on KZread and sharing knowledge with techs on Facebook! I do feel much more confident but your video had given me info I never had before!! I'm really rough on my nails in general and so watching your videos has made it so I could go a whole week on a single manicure which is amazing. When I do my best friend's Nails they last more than 2 weeks ♡ I honestly had jumped around and watched just a few of your videos until recently I started your latest Q&A and you said go back to the beginning. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! So many questions I’ve had and you “nailed” every single one of them! I have extremely wide thumb nails, this was the only video that explained how to make forms work! You’re so informative as always. Hugs from Quartzsite AZ!

This was by far the most informative form video I’ve ever watched. I didn’t think of pinching them. I only do my own nails for now. I have flat nails and have some trouble with these forms. I refuse to use tips! I feel like the tips are actually more work. This video has really helped me understand better
