How to use Minoxidil for Hair Growth

Topical minoxidil is what I most frequently recommend to try over the counter, if you’re experiencing hair loss. Can be helpful for 60% of individuals. Overall low risk of use
✅ pick the cheapest 5% regardless of what the box says. There’s a pink tax for women version but those made for men are exactly the same
✅ pick foam over solution. It’s less irritation, more elegant to use, and doesn’t run down on face as easily.

Following childbirth, I observed my hairfall but I remained calm. I took action to to control it. I chose a wellness-focused approach. I prioritized my nutrition, eating vitamin-packed foods, specially rich in Folic Acid and Protein. I exercised daily and engaged in yoga for stress control. I avoided tight hairstyles and quit using heated styling tools to minimise hair stress. I also started applying LittleExtrra Coconion hair oil and shampoo combined with a neem wood comb. The result was hairfall control and the recovery of my hair.

If hair loss is post partum related then you probably don’t need minoxidil- it’ll usually grow back. But I’m 3 yrs post and never regained great hairline

I recommend oral minoxidil over topical. I couldn't even use topical minoxidil once a day without an itchy scalp, and dandruff. Dermatologist gave me a prescription for 1/2 pill of minoxidil 2.5 mg once a day, and no more itching, no more dandruff, no applying and waiting for it to dry. Swallow 1/2 a pill, and you're done.

It's been 3 months, how is your hair growth? I am losing my hair in the front bangs area and I can't cover it much anymore., it's so embarrassing that I have to use dark eye shadow that now causing more hair loss.

  • @dh2392

@@melissar.8704 I'm about 4 months in now, and the front bangs area is where I first noticed the growth because the new hairs are clearly visible below my current hairline. I also have hairs growing in at my temples. I'm not sure about the back of my head because I can't take a close look at it, but I think it's looking fuller. I'm also taking Dutasteride which from what I've read is supposed to be superior to Fenasteride for stopping hairloss. I'm a 66 year old man, and I'm getting results. I think as long as your hair is still in a growing phase, you can get results. Now I'm not bald, but I didn't like that my scalp was becoming more visible on the top of my head, and crown, and my hairline was receding at the temples. At my age I surprisingly still have some color to my hair, I'm not completely grey, or white, but the odd thing is that my new hairs are all dark brown, black even.

@@LoveYourselfFirst888 my understanding is that as soon as you stop taking minoxidil, your hair will start to fall out again. Taking 1/2 of a 2.5mg pill once a day is pretty easy.

To be honest,it isn’t exactly harmful for women. It is because the 5% formula does not present any better results then the 2% one in women. Meaning it is cheaper and gives you the same results.
