How to Use Major Pentatonic Scales for Soul/R&B Bass lines

Let's look at how groovy we can get with two major pentatonic scales, Cmaj to Fmaj, used in one of my favorite R&B/Soul classics, "I'll Take You There" by the Staple Singers.
The studio group on this cut are none other than the great Muscle Shoals session players and if you don't know this tune, check it out!
Get yourself comfy with different shapes to the Maj Pentatonic and then move around the fretboard playing C to F (I to IV chords) while keeping the feel of the tune as best as possible.
See what permutations you can come up with on your own and experiment. Have fun and keep it groovy!
