Big Thumbs Up! Thank you for a very educational lesson. I just picked up a HERO 6. I'm new to the "Action Camera" format and seeing how Macro can be used adds another whole new dimension to this little puppies possibilities. Would two #4's and one #10 also work?

thanks for watching :) is the question just using macro lens filter 4+ and macro lens filter 10+ can be used? the answer can be used but need to know if using macro filter lens in gopro can only be used if using POV narrow (phottix macro lens filter)

Hi Test Cam! Nice video. Is there a reason to pick 58 mm lenses with a 52-58 step up adapter? I've seen 52 mm Phottix macro lenses as well. Cheers!

I am afraid to use macros phottix 52mm lens filter ring when we put all filters + 1 + 2 + 4 and +10 vignetting will occur, but I have not done ever tried to use filters phottix 52mm, it is just my estimate it :)

Thank you for watching, for the GoPro Hero 7 specification, this is better than GoPro 5, for the installation of the gopro aluminum case and the same macro filter lens because the shape of the gopro hero 7 body and the gopro hero 5 are the same shape

Is this still the case or have things changed with the HERO 7/8/9? Are there new products to help film macro without needing 4 filters?

how is the minimum focus using +1 and +4 lenses?

Hi R project, been spending an hour finding how to get depth of view for go pro hero 8 and i finally found your video, I am just wondering do i also get aluminium case for go pro hero 5 for a go pro hero 8 setup?

I have never tried it, the body shape of Gopro Hero 5 and Gopro Hero 8 is somewhat different. it's better to use an aluminum case that is compatible with GoPro Hero 8 if you want to install a macro lens filter

Macro filters that I use in my video can be used on all types of cameras and lenses, which need to be considered is the diameter of the lens ring. to use the macro filter to the voptop camera that is needed is a filter adapter or vantop camera chassis that has a place to install the filter ring. Have you watched this video from beginning to end? because in this video it's quite clear how to install macro filters on the gopro. I hope this explanation can help you :)

it is not possible to change focus when using gopro hero 5/6 black, the function of the macro lens filter is to simply change the closest focus of the gopro lens. if not using the nearest focus lens macro lens about 23 cm from the object, if using a macro lens filter can be about 14-7 cm from the object.

Thanks for the video. It actually inspired me to buy my own macro lens set for my Gopro Hero 7. I bought a +10 Macro Lens set from Amazon and I am really happy with the way it captures (as long as I remember to clean the lens of course). If you're interested I have a video up on my channel with those results. Thanks again for the vid. I've enjoyed watching stuff you have posted.
