How to Use Karate's "GRABBING HAND" block for COMBAT SPORT and SELF DEFENSE.

Спорт

🔥 In this video I explore several options on how to use Rohai Kata's Torite Uke (Grabbing Hand Block). I explore insertion options inspired from Ashihara Karate, Lethwei, Judo, and Muay Thai, along with my Kempo background.
✅ Special thanks to ‪@mastermcelona‬ for hosting me at Revolution Martial Arts Institute in Swarthmore PA, USA. I collaborated on a Unity Seminar with Mike where we shared the floor and explored various functional ways to understand Kata and Kihon from a cross-training/combat sports/ self defence lens.

Okay, I'm in. I've loved this kata for 20+ years and the ending block, just like the end of Passai.

@@jonasjpm1989 I agree with you 💯 I was just demonstrating. At the Seminar I discussed how you need to take this back and train with more resistance. In my own practice, we have protective equipment and we train with resistance
