My connecting rod snapped and I JB welded it back up, it's holding up great now over 100 hours of riding time, also broke my clutch basket and JB welded it back up to, this other time I broke my swing arm also and JB weld did the trick also and it's fixed. JB weld is the best stuff out there.

Jb weld a connecting rod?! Somethings you should just replace. A connecting rod is one of those things.

I honestly just don't believe the connecting rod. There's videos on KZread here of people trying that as an experiment and it did NOT work!

I carry epoxy putty in my toolkit but have never needed to use it. If you want a more permanent repair I have found aluminium brazing rods that melt at a low temperature that I think would be great for a permanent fix without welding, again never used though!

@@HungryTv13 Hahaha these rods are classed as low melt but they are like 647C. Heat the metal it's going onto to melt the rod, plenty of vids on here.

@@spartacus09ful awesome! I’m fr using it for the simplest shit. Broken thread mount. I’m hoping to just screw It back in covered in JB Weld, clean the excess and go over the cracks, then seal it tight

@@shadowjack48209 Broken thread mount...where? Ther jb weld will stick to your bolt,I'm not sure if it will just crack when removing in future or won't budge. Don't know if the JB weld would be good holding any torque also.

You don't have to drain the oil to do that, you can simply lay it on its side, clean the surface with a damp soapy rag, sand it and then apply the jb weld.
