Greetings Friends! I would appreciate your help! I bought a similar lift, model 3522A, but there is no information on the type of hydraulic fluid that is recommended for filling into the system. On our market, 46 and 32 types of hydraulic oils are available and widespread in viscosity, what would you recommend ? I also did not find a place for lubrication of the joints of the lifting mechanism, there is one fitting for pressing grease at the bottom, or the manufacturer has laid down an eternal resource and the pins with bushings do not need lubrication, but this will doubtfully affect the service life.

Great review! I'm thinking about starting a tree removal service. How much does a boom lift cost to rent vs buy?

That’s exciting, good luck with your tree business. This on me was about $450 for the weekend.

Wanted to see how the Haulette worked. Looks like it works pretty well. Did you run out of charge, or did you have it plugged in anytime that you weren't using it? Thanks for making the video!

It worked very well for what we needed it for. I did keep it plugged in the whole time, so it never ran out of battery.

I thought he would kind of talk about the rental agreement such as insurance needed, weight load capacity, or if you can extend the arm far out or not before it tips over..

Your rental agreement will probably vary from place to place. Be sure to read all safety information before operating.

Great video! Do you have to unhook it from the towing vehicle to operate the boom? TIA!

Thank you. I would unhook it for two main reasons...1) when leveling the lift it may raise up higher than the hitch; 2) I wouldn't want my vehicle that close to falling timber 😀

Probably a little late, but we plug ours in while using it! The manual recommends it actually. You don’t want it dying while you’re in the air. They will charge while in use. Ack when we would rent one, they were ALWAYS dead… modern version of be kind rewind I guess.

Whats the battery like? You'd be surprised but I've found zero info on how long the batteries last for any boom lifts, not even the guy renting it out would tell me.

Honestly I couldn’t tell you either 😀 I just left it plugged up the whole time. But it does have 4 x 6V 245 amp-he batteries, and I would hope it would last at least 6-8 hours.

I just used one for 2 full days of work and didn't plug it in once however I suggest to plug it in overnight if possible especially if it's cold out. I had a wire get pinched by the basket and lost power so make sure they are all tied up and ran right.
