I'm highly amazed this program is still going. I remember using this for Habbo Retros back on Windows XP. Man the look of it has not changed... I'm surprised. Hamachi has been around for more than 15 years.

quick question,when you install hamachi and get the server running, do you just go to your desired game and make an online server and it will automatically work are there extra steps

@@kbdaliesofempez It doesn't seem like we need to put that anywhere. There's no pop-up window calling for it, and yet we can still connect via LAN for the Master Chief Collection on Steam. If there are games that NEED this code to function, where would we put it? MCC seems to auto-detect the VPN server, but for future reference, where have you put the IPV4 when you connect to a friend?

​@@Veckoza I've got this problem with modded Dyson sphere. If you wanna play that with a friend you get a popup asking for the ip4 of the friend your joining. That's where you put it in that game but it's always depending on the game.

its been like 7-8 years and i still dont know how to set this things up properly for minecraft server. its always the same error, my friend get to connect to the mc server but they cant do nothing until eventually they are disconected. is there anything else i need to do before setting up/after setting up the hamachi?

Absolutely! The process for hosting a modded Minecraft server is almost identical to hosting a vanilla one. So you would just need to update the server IP in the server.cfg to the hamachi ip and the port to the hamachi port. Same as vanilla.

We are currently using hamachi, one hosts Minecraft world with LAN, 2 can join without any problem, but third is stuck at encrypting and then times out or connection lost. We have tried all of us turning offf firewall, private/public network, restarting PCs/Router/Hamachi, allowing hamachi and java truth firewall and nothing works.... If you know any solution i'd be happy!

My first recommendation if you already haven’t is trying to install the network adapters for Hamachi for him. If you all have already tried that then I’d recommend trying to ping your friends inside of Hamachi. If you can’t ping that friend it’s an issue with your connection but it seems like you already covered that base too. The last thing I know to recommend is to cut out all the extra variables and just create a singleplayer world then open it to LAN, then you can be absolutely certain you are running on your Hamachi IP. I’d also be sure to check you have the servers IP and port set to your Hamachi details in the server.properties

The other 2 PCs would need to be on Hamachi as well. You may as well have all 3 on Hamachi as using the ethernet between 2 creates an un-needed local network.

He needs to enter your IPv4 into his hamachi client to connect to the network you're now hosting

i have weird question you could help me with maybe me and wifey wanted to plat the lost dark game in co op downloaded the mods fallows all the steps its a pirated game and everything works fine until she wants to joint the host says host not reponded fast enough or just straight up do nothing we are both on same network i tried both true local and this program none seem to work i got the right version of the mod/game so that should be all good but for some reason i cannot seem to make it connect any idea's

Check out a site like game3rb or IGG, they usually have good online fixed versions of games. Sometimes the game requires a server and not P2P connection to establish a session.

Yes, it’ll fix the xbox live lag. If your playing in a group the most central person needs to host the vpn, then change the network settings in game from Xbox live to lan. Also capping the ingame fps 60 helps with inconsistencies.

copy IPv4 when you right click on the network and paste it in game when youre joining existing server

We can connect to eachother no problem, see the green light and everything, but we can't see eachother in game. When we try to ping eachother it times out. We've tried turning off firewalls and all the other usual stuff but don't seem to be making any process.

It should for local play, hypothetically. The key is pointing the game to use your Hamachi IP for connections, and I’m not sure that BO3 would do that.

Hamachi is useless. I've been trying port forwarding on the router, firewall exceptions, reinstalling on a brand new PC, I still have relayed tunnel and extreme lag. My friend wasnts me to "fix it" but despite hours and hours the tunnel is relayed. I am currently in the process of analysing where and how does Hamachi connects to see if this [REDACTED] thing is working. We used to have a direct tunnel a year or so ago. Hamachi is nothing more than a big time waster.

Does this work for cracked games ?

I don't see a reason it wouldn't, as long as the game has a local gameplay feature it would function. Games that have multiplayer that first have to connect to a game server such as Sea of Thieves or Grounded wouldn't work. Of course I highly recommend purchasing the games when you can afford it to support the devs.
